When doing defense, the number of people in the group relates to how many enemies are present, but not the length of time it takes to complete a round. So when you lose players it ends up taking roughly the same amount of time, but with fewer enemies so energy dependent frames tend to have a harder time keeping up their killing rate or lone enemies start getting stuck more often with only 3 people sprinting around to find them.
But also, it's because people are trying to farm a particular relic group and don't care about the exceptional reward at wave 25.
Otherwise, just don't do endless relics in public if you are wanting long sessions.
Also when more people leave, and people are just there to lvl their gear up, I wouldnt expect they'd want to stick around to be a burden.
I personally never run more than 10 waves of defence as it doesn't have much sense to do more.
Here’s a list of several reasons people could be quitting after 10 waves that have nothing to do with being scared-oh sorry-CHICKEN.
1. On break from work-I had to leave an endless mission after only 10 waves because I had to go back to work cause my lunch break was ending.
2. You suck at the game or at the very least aren’t nearly as good as you think you are and people don’t wanna carry you any more-they’d rather play with someone useful.
3. People need to go to bed cause they have jobs.
4. Literally thousands and thousands of things in life that could come up out of nowhere that are more important than any video game: death of a loved one, accident or injury, someone blew a tire and needs help out on the road.
Point is-there are literally thousands of reasons why someone might quit at 10 waves. Think before you make threads like this-not everything is as simple as you wanna make it out to be. And you certainly don’t understand why people behave the way they do
I'm usually the one carrying the team as I tend to get the most kills so It's annoying when people leave at 5 or 10 when it's not taking that long or is difficult. you should think before making comments like this. you just assume someone sucks at the game because they like doing more than 5 or 10 waves? that doesn't make any sense.
I think no such thing-I don’t know you. Why do you think I listed several examples? I specifically did it so you wouldn’t think I was making assumptions about you. You even had to remove 3 others from my comment in order to make your quote-why? Just why? That doesn’t make any sense.
If it is only for affinity/credits, I can see why they might not want to stay around, but I just consider that inefficient(IMO, mobile defense is better for that kind of thing).
Welp, more rewards for me.
- gtg do something else, in game or irl
- bored after 10 waves
- no more relics (no really, sometimes this happens)
- don't like the team for some reason
- etc etc
