Warframe "Market"?

so i was thinking about the Warframe trade chat and how it's kind of unintuitive sitting there until someone PMs you, so i was thinking that maybe Warframe could have like a Community "Market" similar to the Steam Market. i already have everything worked out, so here's how i think it could work:

1. you place an item on the Market, with the price being either an amount of plat or something else tradeable (i.e. a prime part).
2. it gets taken out of your inventory, if you want it back you can cancel you listing it on the Market.
3. if someone buys/trades for it, you can collect it in a menu in the Market (almost like cashbox), doing so will give you the plat/tradeable you specificed and thus the player paid for.

i'm already aware a big problem with this system is it doesn't allow for bartering, but i feel such a hands off approach to trading would make it so players like myself would feel more inclined to get invested into it.

You know, it's like you go to a store looking for a very specific pair of pants, for a very specific purpose and the vendor repeatedly gives you bras or underwear or whatever, after rolling some dice in front of you, like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥. And since DE is becoming more and more chinese - the "canadian" story is just a disguise - which are known for their apetite for RNG and loot boxes ... well... )

There is something called ' Trade Chat ' they dont need to add a site for players to sell stuff
Your statement isn't something DE would do they added trade chat and thats enough for them
as much as i hate from trade chat theres some kind of place you can trade fast

to be fair DE censors anything they remotely don't like and go to great lengths to do so, like RevXDev Voldemort, Nezha being called a trap, and the factr they can ban you with or without reason and they don't have to mention what that reason is (meaning they can ban you whenever they so desire as it's part of the ToS.)

have you ever tried mentioning RevxDev on Warframe's Twitch? you get permabanned instantly, no exceptions.

i don't hate DE though and can forgive them, because as with all companies money is their language. they end up doing things that would earn them the most money, it's simply typical business practice.

Imho that is pretty much the case, the overwhelming majority of items are very reasonably priced. If one wants to, one really should have no issue whatsoever getting everything for 0 bucks. Even fresh primes frames & popular vaulted ones can be bought with the equivalent of what, 2 to 3 hours of farming? Easy peasy.

If one has no time or patience for farming, but does have money to blow, fork out instead. Helps everyone. Of course having the market listing system in game would be much better in terms of convenience, yes. But it would also drive prices down to outright joke levels. Compensating for that would be required, & we might not like what comes out of it ^^

Rivens don't really count here, prices are ludicrous specifically because long timers have insane amounts of farmed plats to blow & nothing to spend it on - other than crazy good rolls, which are in very limited supply.

System staying this way also allows the ppl who went through the hassle of making these websites to continue getting thanked via Patreon & such. Deserved reward imho, DE snatching that away would be a little bit scummy. Not much mind you, just a little.

I guess all things considered I am against the implementation of in-game listings.

The first part (up to ToS) any developer can do. Rockstar, ubisoft, and EA (among others) have been caught in the past doing just that.

I don't know what revxdev means, I need explanations on that.

I think DE isn't perfect, far from it - but they could easily fix what is wrong (community communication, overcensorship, balance fixes, bugs, and other things) very simply. But in some cases will have to admit (and should) that they made the wrong call, and are actively doing stuff to change that.

i know, but i'm still pointing out that DE are just as bad as any other company when it cmes to business practices. the only things that are different is that they don't do lootboxes, it isn't P2W, and it's not always neccessary or in your face.

RevXDev is a Youtuber that has been outright censored from the game in the past, any time you mention him on Warframe grounds it's an intant permaban (i'm not sure if they changed it now that he's allowed to play, but i'm not going to risk it.). he's been pointing out the more dubious activities by DE (and some Warframe youtubers) for quite some time.

i think that as well, i only hope they realize their mistakes sooner rather than later.

I like the idea of market or a grand exchange location. However this would remove any little tiny interaction we get from other players and the game might actually die from it due to the market being ran by bots.

double posting because this post is on topic, but i'd like to point out that i've pulled off what Tinkles described going on in WoW and Path (in my case, I did it in DFO).

Auction houses cause economy crashes and end up actually RAISING prices (you think 1k is ridiculous to spend on a riven now? just wait) by virtue of currency being devalued.

with auction house, pretty much all items will eventually just be 1p each........the unintuitiveness of the current trading system is the only reason items are worth anything. Not to mention the server cost of an actual auction house.

Apparently it's too genius for DE to implement it inside the game. You don't wanna auction house? Then just add a note board to Maroo's bazaar so people can do their warframe.market offers and demands without babysitting a chat or wasting time standing with raised hand at bazaar itself.
