The wiki has a nice chart of how much focus you need and how many days it'll take if you hit the standing cap every day. Not counting Eidolon shards, of course.

Well I have every single Waybound unlocked and I'm not even close to having every Focus ablity unlocked.

So I'm gonna say, a lot.

honestly the biggest issue with focus is the fact that farming it aint hard, just so mindlessly boring. Watching pain dry is more fun that farming focus.

This have nothing to do with farming focus. Brainless cancer grind is the central Warframe experience in many, MANY activities. For example, ask anyone doing Profit Taker bounties.

A lot. But getting all the useful stuff takes maybe two months or so:
Energy Pulse, Energizing Dash, Void Siphon and Void Flow from Zenurik.
Mind Sprint from Naramon.
Enduring Tides from Vazarin.
Void Strike, Inner Gaze and Eternal Gaze from Madurai.

After you have maxed these you might as well stop focus farming. You will get focus over time anyway as you do other things.

177 pool max

about 150,000 per pool at that point

It wasn't bad at all, but I like the Onslaught game mode. Before ESO I had hardly any focus at all. Being able to cap out daily so fast was great.

edit add - I do feel bad for the people who got it done before Onslaught though. Much lower daily caps, and needing Eidolon shards for focus farming over cap sounds like a bucket of dog poop to me. I know people who did it though and have been told how easy I had it doing mine.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the people who don't have it done.. it is one of the few things you can't buy for plat.

if you just play..you won't notice the grind..i've finished it lol. No idea how long it took just noticed one day i had an extra 5 million in one focus tree and nothing to put it in.

Maximizing all focus schools is a piece of cake nowadays.

You have EOS, tridolons and an increased daily focus limit.

None of them existed when focus system arrived.

Off the top of my head I remember it being something like 6, 7, 8, 8, 10 (million) for the schools, and those are rough, ballpark numbers. Based on those numbers, I'd say probably 41-42 million or so total focus for everything. Not sure if that includes the points to be able to equip them.

A little bit of advice: there is one node in Madurai that you should not rank up at all - just grab the first rank and move on. It's the one needed before you can unlock Void Strike, otherwise I wouldn't recommend even unlocking it. Blinding enemies when you exit Void Mode may sound cool, but it's just a massive waste of Operator energy, especially if you ever plan on doing Eidolon hunts the meta way.

Actually grinding out the Focus is a lot easier now than it ever has been in the past. Depending on the lineup that was rolled for the week, you can usually get an MR25's daily Focus cap (375k) in two or three 8-zone runs of Elite Sanctuary Onslaught. If you want even more Focus for the day, head into Recruiting chat and run some tridolons - though I'd recommend sticking to ESO until you've fully ranked Void Strike and/or Unairu Wisp if you want to join the squads who are doing it efficiently.
