My melee veiled riven mods transformed into zaw veiled riven mods???

That is normal. I have gotten a plague kripath riven before from a veiled riven.

Ive got a nikana one. It happens. This is a GOOD thing, as zaws are typically > even primes.
Did they change the label to let you know its for a zaw pre unveil? Is that what you are seeing?

They were already veiled Zaw Riven Mods. Before yesterday's patch, veiled Zaw and Kitgun Riven Mods were displayed to the player simply as regular "Melee" and "Pistol" Riven Mods, but internally they were still distinct; even though a veiled Zaw Riven displayed to the player as "Melee Riven Mod", in the game's code it was still a distinct "Zaw Riven Mod", and when unveiled could only become a Riven for one of the various Zaw Strikes. Yesterday's update/hotfix simply made the Riven system more transparent to the player by showing them if their veiled Riven is a Zaw/Kitgun Riven and not a "normal" Melee/Pistol Riven.

What that update did was crush hopes and dreams. Prior to this you can sell pistol rivens in mass quanities because people would scoop them up hoping to crack that sweet, sweet, Catchmoon riven. Now that is no longer the case.
