They have to keep checking if they are in it or out of it and where their target it.
It can be annoying at times, but usually it isn't a bother.
That said I actually like playing limbo :p
and some people will get mad, just coz they see a limbo player.
and some people will get mad, even though a limbo's cataclysm + stasis is preventing the fact they are going down every 5-6 secs. lol
and some find the cataclysm coloring a bit annoying, and that is understandable, if a limbo has selected the brighest colors in game.
although, if you wanna play with limbo, play with limbo.
it is a free world.
he is a big help to squads after his rework.
i am using my limbo too, i am a big fan of him.
but, i use him mostly on solo, not so much in squads, but i do use him in public/premade squads too, quite oftenly i might add.
It slows the mission down and is the woest ability to defend in that case
Just press one on the targed and your job is done
What is so hard to understand about it?
And Defense is based on killing all attacking enemies, not surviving a certain time. This would definitely not be a problem in Mobile Defense.
Doesn't matter. As soon as some people see a Limbo, they abort, or wonder why didn't they abort earlier and now its too late.
I think one problem is that some newer players don't totally understand the way that limbo works because they've never played one. So, for example, they may not know that if they accidentally find themselves in the rift because the hit a portal limbo left behind, they can just roll out of it.
Another problem may be that it has become somewhat of a fad among some players to bash on limbo. So maybe some other people just join in to feel they are part of the club, since so many others are bashing on limbo.
Also, a problem of course is limbo players that are careless or just plain trolling other people's games. Most of all by spamming banish all the time, sometimes by blocking people out from using switches etc. by putting cataclysm over it. I have significantly more frequently heard complaints about such behaviour than I have actually encountered it myself. But it does happen, of course, and it's a shame that these players are further harming an interesting warframe's already bad reputation.
it just make the mission stretch longer and harder to kill the enemies
i learn my mistakes never again
On defence sortie i use limbo to banish the target and only when i start seeing my mates fall one after the other i use cata with stasis to help em get back ahead and turn it off once the situation is under control.
I do hate limbos banishing every ennemies and banishing us all the time tho. why would we all go into limbo, ennemie included.... doesnt make sense.
As for the color issue, i like using a visible but dark color to not annoy people while still letting em see the edge of cata.
But thts just me, i hate limbo so i only use it when needed.
What is the point of casting your cataclysm (+ statis) in a farm environment? Does it prevent the death of the objective?
If yes, you SHOULD cast it.
If you just cast that to use your abilities without true purpose (the objective will be fine anyway, you're in a farming mission) then you shouldn't cast it. What is the value of this ? none. What is the downside of this ? Bother teammates. It does not make the mission simpler/faster, but it does make it longer... Same applies to frost bubble. It's not required and just a pain in the butt to play around it.
If someone else takes issue with me using Limbo on defense missions, then as far as I'm concerned they can go in the pile with every person who yelled at me when I started playing when the objective took too much damage - those people are entirely forgettable & I'll never have to see them again. :-)
I do not find it fun to play around, it is idiot proof ability that makes you win misison by default and I am not fan of those. You pick Limbo and you cannot fail any mission no matter how hard it is, and without any effort.
If youa re any competent your objectves should not be a problem, each of them have decent ammount of HP and unless you have 0 mods onm your weapons then you ar efine for a long run.
So argument of protecting a defens eobjective that has 60k hp and 8k shields is not a realistic argument, you are preventing your team from doing more damage which would happen way before enemies can make those painful 2k damage to objective and put a stress on poor Limbo who cannot do math
I find him bad but again, I would like DE posting stats to confirm what we all see - when people see Limbo jerkign off and using 4 they just leave because they came into Warframe to play the game and enjoy, Limbo is counter productive to everything else DE has developed for this game.
