Good Shotguns

Other than the normal ones like Vaykor Hek, Tigris (Prime), Arca Plasmor, and whatnot. What are some shotguns that are good, or that you just like? One that I rather enjoy is Sobek, especially with Acid Shells.

Imho, It is the Riven that makes a weapon "shine" these days.

The Kohm is the most powerful shotgun in the entire game. By far. But you'll need a god riven to make it work, and once you have that riven it'll just delete lvl 150s like they never existed in the first place. Nothing can stand before this weapon with the right Riven slotted. It has all the positive characteristics of a shotgun with none of the negatives. Fast firing rate (when modded), high mag capacity, virtually zero recoil, fast reload speed and amazing armor stripping capabilities at 100% status.

I hate the Tigris Prime. The way it works puts me right off, and there are other Shotguns that can do a better job *cough* Strun Wraith *cough*.

Anyway, best Shotguns in my opinion are :
- Strun Wraith (obviously) - good clip size, good damage, good Riven disposition and while reload isn't great, it can be interrupted when necessary.

- Sobek. Obvious gun is obvious.

- Arca Plasmor. Obvious is more obvious, because is obviously great.

- Phantasma. Requires more Forma than most, but it has great potential. Awesome reload speed and damage potential, but sucks for Ammo Efficiency.

- Corinth. You can make this thing very good, but I think it suffers in the face of Strun Wraith.

KOHM! :D That weapon is pure elegance and awesomeness.
It's a shotgun, but has such a huge range....almost like an assault rifle, and with multishot, you just can't miss a headshot. :D And huge fire rate

Only downside is an effect if it's huge fire rate. It eats ammo like hell.

The only shotgun i like is the Boar (Prime). I do not consider the Arca Plasmor as a shotgun due to it not firing pellets.

I do not very much enjoy Shotguns in this game, even if they are the most powerful guns in the game.

Nah, its a valid opinion. I don't enjoy the Hek either. Nor the Tigris Prime. They are unmistakably powerful, but not fun to use.

That still doesn't mean that you pretty much only have the choice between Vectis and Hek when you start out, as the real good rapid firing guns do not really show up until you are beyond MR8.

And the Tigris Prime is great if you are doing a Stage 3 sortie... but i wouldn't want to use either for regular content.

Why the hell not? Without Rivens the vast majority of the shotguns can not reach 100% status. The only viable weapon is the Strum Wraith and the Tigris Prime, which is now vaulted. Rivens makes all the difference.
