But I'd say in normal missions I become a little "mission myopic" and 80% of the time I won't even notice someone went down. I even play with friends and if I see they die I will normally say sorry I didn't notice they were down.
That said I have 2000+ revives, so I try to get people up when I can and it is safe.
But the objective comes first.
This is why I made the post, getting very close to 2k revives myself.
Thanks for input.
If they are too far away, in the middle of danger that would get you killed, etc, then you can't. Fair enough. But if you can revive them, revive them.
Sometimes it will be required for the downed person to Revive themself to stop some sort of mission fail type event from happening (Spy Vault alert, Rescue targeted downed, etc) or if they have some sort of critical role in a squad (Trinity in an Tridolon hunt), but these are special cases.
If you're the sort of dude who doesn't revive teammates right next to you when you could because 'it's faster to revive yourself', then you should be playing Solo. Warframe is a co-op game. Help your teammates.
but that doesn't change the fact that reving yourself is the fastest method to getting back into the action.
When doing arbitration defenses... ppl should rev themselves. It only takes a second to get the objective killed by not paying attention where it should be payed.
Likewise, at 50 drills on excavation, it only takes a split second for enemy to wipe an unprotected drill.
What I dont understand is how a team mate can get to 50 drills, and then go down and sit there for 10+ seconds waiting for someone to rev them when they have all their lives intact.
Sometimes it just seems more repectful to you squad to rev yourself.
This wasnt really so much on "Should I revive someone?"
It was more on.... "How the eff are you gonna stay down waiting for team failure??"
The few exceptions I make:
- If the mission's goal was in danger if I took the couple of seconds to revive a teammate
- If the mission is so challenging that I am in very serious danger of dying while reviving, myself
- If a teammate very, very often dies at the exact same spot for no obvious reason - only happened once in Ceres Defense when a teammate kept running into the electrified rails again and again. Revived him once, twice, then I gave up. Another teammate revived him three times more, but he kept running into the rails.
yes, sry apologies, I was thinking of sorties and such defending person objective.
Thanks for correction.
