eidolon hydrolyst is badly designed
High Damage
Ridiculous AoE
limited warning before attacks
Time-gated health
Not saying it is un-beatable, it is just anti-fun and an absolute waste of time for players

I mean it does take some work getting your gear in a good place but isn't this supposed to be "end game" content? I guess it must be if people are giving up and buying them.

I love these fights... the sounds and effects are awesome.

Sure it took me 1600+ in mission hours to get set up for it so it is easy... but I have a real sense of accomplishment from earning it by NOT using plat to buy mods or arcanes. Granted though time is a luxury I have plenty of... something most of us forum dwellers share methinks.

With experience comes an understanding of the timing and mechanincs.. it can be hard at first, there is a lot going on.

It's not that its hard to do for me, like most thing in the game, I pretty much gotten tired of hoping for the thing I want to drop.
IDK... these arcanes are one of the few things I have left to grind and I am very close to max arcane grace.. I think it is great that after all this playtime I still have stuff to grind for. Buying power like that just seems cheezy to me... but I understand normal people don't have a lot of time to game ... so I can't really fault a working person with a family buying stuff like that... it just isn't for me.

The more of you reject the option to git gud, get better stuff and progress enough to have him beat easilly - the more easy plat farm it is for me and other people who took few hours uppon them selves and figured out how to do 3-4 Tridolon hunts per night without really tryharding.

Of course you not gonna beat him with default amp and Mk1 braton.... So maybe get some good stuff, if you do not have good stuff then you haven't progressed enough to get arcanes.
Also leanring by doing is a thing in real life, so it is in games, I was bad at it, had no idea what was happening, then I learned and today I can do solo Tridolon with ease.
With Riven I think I may be able to pull off 2 because I can do 1x3 and 1x2.
Either Riven for Rubico, or bit better riven for Euphona Prime - but no one from riven.market is not responding for weeks.

Also never went into pub because I hear everyone in pub eidolon hunt is super elitist...
Euphona Prime

also pub runs are chill, played a lot of them actually, did not see much elitism apart from obviopus "why the hell do you die 500 times per stage and why aren't you in operator mode" kind of "elitism".

My personal note for people would be to do Teralyst only for a while and get comfortable with dynamics and maybe reach a new amp. THen go Tridolons and get something safe like VOlt, Trinity, Harrow, something reliable there.
Investing in Madurai Void Strike is HUUUUUUUUUGE buff that brings you closer to gitting gudder.

Have fun Tenno!

Blinding effects? Turn off Bloom, problem solved.
Otherwise, the Hydrolyst is easy to beat, it takes time to learn all of it's attacks.
  • Time-gated health? Orb Mother would like to get a word in that, taking down the Hydrolyst's shield is a cakewalk, just shoot at it with your Amp, it'll go down in roughly 30 seconds. The Synovias can go down in a magazine of a sniper or two shots from the Lanka/Opticor.
  • High Damage? The only high damage is the Ground Shamsh, the quakes can easily kill you if you don't jump up or don't go into Void Mode, the Magnetic bubbles are part of this attack as they rise up from the ground slowly, then expand and then blow up, you can easily see them rising up from hundreds of meters away.
  • Ridiculous AoE? Other than the green vomit it places down that is easily identified and negated by Void Mode or a Trinity it doesn't have any proper AoE. Ground Smash and Stomp are easily avoided.
  • Limited warnings? The Hydrolyst slowly rising one of it's arm, lifting its leg, looking up and screeching for 5 seconds or shooting up in the air isn't enough warning of something coming?

On the note of elitism - for the guy above me - NEVER join a Recruit lobby who go for 4x3 or more, those are a different kind of entitled idiots.

maybe, those I met were quite chill, like people did their best to contribute and do their role and we do 4x3. Harrow clicks 4 on time. Chroma pew pew. Volt spams is shield, Trinity does 4 adn gets lures. Like it is not really elitism when you just have th ebest gear and you do the same thing people do for 2x3 but you just do more damage with it.
All because timed VS use and UW thingy which is just a time gate thingy, really takes a while to farm focus but it pays off.

Again, my experience, quite chill. 5x3 is tryhard at this point, that is true elitist.

Never had some smartasses telling me ♥♥♥♥ there, one guy had a peculiar idea that Trinity should fill 7 lures before Terry is down but he ended up on ignore. That is all I can think of when it comes to my bad experience with 3x3 and 4x3.

Sure it can likely be a bad experience when people join who have 0 clue how to defeat Teralyst. But that is likely person's fault - you signed up for something you cannot do.

Its a waste of time when all you farm and get trash arcanes. I don't mind before, but as time goes by now. I kinda want it to be easier to get.

They all can't be arcane graces you know. At least he's good for focus grinding.

Ok what I'm asking is that instead of 500+ runs to at least guarantee like an Arcane Grace. MAYBE it should be shorten some more or at least maybe allow a trade in system. I don't exactly got the time to invest like I used to any more since 2014.

I can do the killing, but I don't want to fecking get another trash arcane.

One does not play Inaros to be part of the team

Solo sortie/darksector build dummy. Who needs a team when you're Inaros.

Had a thought...

The Fortuna arcanes seem too easy to get. I would not want to see that kind of thing happen to the Eidolon ones.

But what if they added the Eidolon arcanes to the spider fights?

One of the main issues with the Eidolons is the day/night cycle acting as a gate.

That's good for people who don't have time. Why does everything have to be hard to get ? It's a game, not a job. I don't feel any accomplishment from 5 day work for one stupid arcane.

that is why people like or dislike looter games respectivelly.

arcanes are so good for builds and damn worthy of any struggle. Warframe is more of a hobby, not a game.

I dislike time gate with night cycle, but guess there has to be some
