Some DMG frame dont need any Survival Arcane because they instant kill enemies :)
But in yoru case I would rather combine it with Arcane Grace if you want to double up on survivability - tho why not get an arcane that adds to damage and kill enemies before they are able to damage you?
attack is a very good defense.
In general it is good to have some defensive or support kind of arcane and one that adds to the output.
I think doubling down on each of them is not super needed and bit of an overkill
But for olympic level you need to dedicate your whole life to shave off that half of the second.
that is how building in warframe works, at some point there is no more point in adding to one particular aspect of your build unless it is a specific dedicated build for a squad where you invest everything to fit to your role (eg: buff Rhino - all on strength and some duration, no range, no efficiency, no Iron Skin augments).
This law can be seen on Inaros with Umbral set - as regular Inaros already has 0 issues with survivability, putting Umbral set on him to reach 8k+ HP is more of a meme than an actual improvement. Those extra 3k HP are pure diminishing return as you invested 120k endo to get bonus to survivability that you may need once in every 100 hours.
I have never got to see that being used as Inaros has tools to maintain his HP.
for frames which i use quick thinking (most squishy ones) i use arcane energize rather than grace/guardian.
For the second Arcane:
- Grace for Tanky frames
- Aegis for frames with a form of damage reduction already (Mesa's Shatter Sheild, Gara's Splinter Storm, Nezha's Warding Halo, etc)
- Energize for energy hungery frames and some specilaized builds
- Avenger for crit heavy weapons
I am thinking if running the following set ups, I am aiming for heavy duty tanking as I like to be right in the middle of it.
Excalibur umbra (maxed umbra mods)/damage - grace and avenger
Saryn prime/caster - grace and energize
Nidas/tanks - grace and guardian
Would this work? I do usually have equilibrium, rage, and quick thinking equipped.
I try to build heavy crit weapons and I do like to melee.
If it's the latter I'd refocus the strategy, when enemies are level 300 just about anything that deals damage will one-shot you and would be best (in that case) to focus on arcanes that help with that instead of armor/health/regen.
The latter is more my endgame aswell as eidilon hunts. I will do some work and try high crits.
