Why not Sobek?

I dislike tig. It hits hard but you have to hold the trigger to not shoot, and reload all the time. Sobek is my favorite, followed by v-hek. Haven't tried corinth though.

sobek? Modded for damage, its a high cap single shot approach that is very strong. Its on-paper damage is way over 10k/shot with modest mods. Maxed out its going to be well above 15k with some amazing riven that I don't have yet...

Sobek and v-hek are roughly equal. Time you put in crit and crit damage in the hek, its not much better critting than sobek is every shot, and not every shot will crit. Throw in the reload / low mag issue and sobek starts to look really slick... that leaves it down to puncture vs impact vs enemy type really.

The Hek is fun with Scattered Justice mod and will get you far into the game.

At MR12

Vaykor Hek.

Does everything the Hek does but better. Especially the clip of 8 vs 4. Well worth the forma to top it out and is a great general use weapon for all content currently available.

At MR13/14

Tigris Prime

You want it dead this gun does it. My biggest issue is the firing mechanism and clip of 2.

No reason to not get the Vaykor and the Tigris. I just so happen to have some for sale as well. :)

But yes by the time you get to this MR it's not even a question anymore. At the lower MR the Hek is a solid weapon and if you enjoy the playstyle 2 Forma will take you through farming all the current content easily with Scattered Justice mod. If you don't like shotguns there are plenty of other weapons around MR4-6 that will do the same job.

If you like Vaykor Hek and Tigris Prime but hate the clip of 2 just put Hunter Munitions on Vaykor Hek or Corinth and with a proper build it is now a Tigris Prime but better. It does more damage than Tigris Prime. The only time it loses is when the target needs to die instantly due to immunities which is exclusive to Stalker, any other boss or Eidolon you will be using Sniper/Opticor or something else anyways.

SO I can say that if you find the others to have a faster RTK than Tigris, you nay have a bad build on the Tigris.

Not for Vaykor Hek or Corinth. Those proc off Hunter Munitions with crits while Tigris Prime procs off status chance for their respective slash damage. For Hunter Munitions your pellets each have a 30% chance to proc a slash and bleed even with 0% status chance for every crit and they are potent crit weapons (tho you really need Primed Ravage for them to be worth it over Tigris Prime). However, you can also utilize Viral effectively enough with these weapons due to their high pellet count on Vaykor Hek (and single bullet on Corinth) to couple with the slash reliably since Viral only needs a single proc where slash bleed procs you want as many as possible (hence 100% target goal on slash status shotty builds like Tigris Prime). Sadly, Tigris Prime can't crit for squat else it would do the same and ignore all those wasted slots on dual status chance.

I was refering to the fact that you may have a bad build on the Tigris Prime, which, after the testing, I got to the conclusion that, yea, you do have a bad build on Tigris Prime.

I tested as following:
- Tigris Prime, Vaykor Hek, Corinth
- 2 builds on Corinth
- 4 on Vaykor Hek (I have a riven, with crit dmg)
- enemy, level 150 Corrupted Bombard

Here are the results:
- Ranking:
- - #1: Tigris Prime
- - #2: Viral Vaykor Hek with Riven if you're lucky, if not, it's #3 simply because of the Riven making it better than no Riven.
- - #3: Corrosive Vaykor Hek with Riven if you're lucky, if not, it's #2.
- - #4: Everything else. The RTK was so all over the place that it's hard to say which of the 2 is better than the other.

As for #2 and #3, I got 1 Viral Proc, in 18 shots, but when I did, the RTK was close to Tigris Prime, like, very close, barely noticeable difference, so being equal to it, like, maybe? But not better, because Tigris Prime gets the same result, every time. I killed 6 enemies for each build and type of fire, so yea, the test is quite accurate. Tigris Prime would always 1 mag them, and notice, the V Hek and Corinth had a high advantage due to all the shots I took being Head Shots, which also doubles the crit damage, only on shoot body, they don't even come close to Tigris Prime, Tigris Prime didn't 1 mag on body shots, but it was still much more reliable than the other 2.

Also Corinth also has pellets, unless you use alt fire, so there's that.

So, there is no way Vaykor Hek and Corinth can outclass Tigris Prime in DPS, in KPS, that's a different story, but not in DPS, come close, yea, they can, but outclass it, they can't, maybe Corinth with the most godly of godly Rivens due it's disposition, if Tigris has no Riven, but otherwise....nah.

I'd say Hek/Vaykor Hek. I used the Tigris Prime a lot and... it was good, fun, but the Hek's INSANE multishot, with having a magazine rather than two loaded barrels that go off pretty much simultaneously.
The damage of the Tigris is better, this makes it more of a single target weapon, at lower levels the Tigris Prime is too strong for the regular enemy, at higher level the two shots won't be enough for more than one enemy.

First, your Tigris prime build is bad. Second, Tigris prime at 100% status (easily done without a riven) pumps out HUGE slash procs and whatever else you have it built for (viral.corrosive ect).

I own all three guns. I have a great riven for the corinth and its a good gun. But its not even close to a T-prime on 150 enemies. Vaykor is to different is purpose and action to compare to the TP.
