If you're doing something with a high base status or critical chance, multiple shots can be more useful than base damage since even a 50% multi-shot will occasionally cause double the projectiles. With a high critical rate, this means that either none or both projectiles will be a critical hit. With a status chance, this will increase the number of potential status procs on a single target.
If your weapon is lower on status or critical, or you are more reliant on elemental damage instead of procs, higher damage is best.
But multishot will often have the advantage for status-based builds just because of some status procs being more important in frequency than individual potency. IE corrosive.
+Range + Crit Damage +Crit Chance/Crit on Slide -Status Duration is generally the best for melee weapons.
To a lesser extent, +Status Chance to get constant status procs on certain weapons that would never otherwise have 100% status chance can be cool, though it's not always best.
For strong weapons with garbage riven stats like the Vaykor Hek or Tigris Prime, you may wish to roll for a slightly better [Seeking Fury]: +Reload Speed +Punch Through +Damage/Multishot/Magazine Size -Zoom.
For something silly: the Prisma Burst Laser with corrosive damage and the regular fire rate and multishot mods would go great with +Fire Rate +Status Chance +Multishot - Crit Damage/Crit Chance/or whatever else.
First, congrats on the Supra riven. Second, The Suptra Vandal is a hybrid build. I would aim for crits+multishot in a Riven while padding the status with dual stats mods.
So next to some obivous damage boosts like crit stuff, damage, multishot, status chance - it is very important to know that some of "utility" stats like mag size, reload, projectile flight speed, rate of fire, it is important to know which one can help make your weapon better and which one is meh which all depends on a weapon.
And negative stats can seem to be able to hurt even best rolls but in most cases it can be countered with one mod
like it is cool to get strong crit on status weapon that has some crit or vice versa to get full on hybrid build - those struck me hardest as strongest builds without a doubt
