How To Leave Squad In Mission?
I've had a few bad experiences with trolls trying to hold everyone up. How do I leave the squad without aborting the mission?

Unless it's Onslaught, you can't. The best way to avoid such situations would be to find a dedicated group, joining a clan, or just playing with friends. Public Groups are always a crap shoot.

They aborted then, or Alt+F4'd. It's the only way.
And you don't get to keep your stuff.

Damn. Kk then thanks.
There is... one specific way, but it only works if you're the mission's host. If your Internet connection were to spontaneously go out as host, the rest of the squad experiences a host migration, while the game puts you in your own solo session. Your Internet connection would need to be back up and running before you extracted from the mission, however, otherwise any rewards you have accumulated during the mission will be lost.

I discovered this a while back thanks to my often not-so-reliable cellular 'net. I do not recommend intentionally doing this in the middle of a squad, as it would likely count as griefing and be a reportable offense if you were to start abusing it.

To be honest, just deal with it. It doesn't happen that often and public games are normally decent.

Considering you average mission is 5 to 10 minutes, this is the best advice. Only issue can be extraction missions. I was in a lilith one with some idiots today who just couldn't even undertand what to do or where to go. We got the first relic opened and it was a part I needed so I was stuck waiting for Mo, Larry and Currly to stop running around the map like idiots and finally decide to extract. It was painful but I learned my lesson.

There are some missions where you have to all gather in the same place for a boss to spawn, for example. If a player doesn't go to that spot to troll, there really isn't anything anyone can do about it becides aborting the mission and having to go all the way back (and wait for squad members and the like).

True. I think the key is to make sure they are trolling and not just lost or having an issue. I’ve gotten myself lost in a map before, especially when I was new.

I'd agree but since there isn't a kick function their intention is irrelivent. The fact of the matter is that your holding up the group and I don't want to sit and wait at least 5 to 10 extra minutes each run because of this.

Only ever had this happen once and I was among the perps. Had a guy on a bounty sit in the gate for the entire run then he had the balls to demand we hurry up when we finished so we went fishing. Besides that I have never actually seen a single player hold up the game intentionally (unless you count the guys who run into an elevator ahead of the team and activate it).

I love holding player Hostage for survival games and in the PoE I was like til I die I'm not leaving the plains I had rude teammates. So for the plains sit I was Nidus so I Couldn't die so I just Fish and mine Til night fall general rule of thumb for is as long as your not a jerk I will not be a jerk to you.

One other factor to keep in mind is peoples internet.

I have been in game with clan friends and people don't always show in game where they really are. Even seen some people show in game but still loading on their computer and can't move from spawn.

You never know when "special" internet cases may come into a mission, you just have to deal with it. Unless they are taunting you in chat or something you can't be sure. And if they do you can screenshot it and report them.
