What's with heads in Fortuna?
Like, I get the idea of renting body parts - but what do they do with their original heads? Shelve them somewhere? Why?

I'm more concerned about, eh, other parts.

I mean, is there like some shelve somewhere in a Corpus Storage Faclity full of jars of Dongs and Breasts? Do they replace it with a robo verison? So many Questions.

They say theres a market for bodyparts

Well, one thing I could think of it that it's one less surface that's vulnerable to cold and any other dangerous elements you're working with. Who needs a hard hat when your entire head is armored? Might also need some sort of specialized technology to properly control the bodies or something?

I recal some mentioning of something to do with brains either from Nef, or Eudico.

And that's how Nef actually makes money off augments. Enlarging adds taken to new degree.

the boxy looking chest plate on the workers is were the brain goes i think. if you look at one of the chests of the workers by making your camera clip through them you can see an empty space for something, also the voice of the solaris has a face inside a box that looks just like the chests of the solaris workers

also the vent kids have their heads partally detached from their bodies, you can noclip look at the leaders metal collar and see the she has robotic bits holding her head to her body with a gap in between.

I'm guessing none of you followed the Solaris United Discord.

When the Solaris people can't pay off their debt, their organic body parts gets repo'd. If they've got valuable prosthetics, then those get repo'd too.

Worse comes to worse, they get the last bit - Brain Shelving. Until your family member, or kin, or whoever nice enough to pay off your debt.

Solaris's lore is actually extremely dark, and show Corpus are actually just as ruthless and despicable as Grineer.

Corpus Bad Dragon must make a lot of money.

I really don't want to think what a Corpus, eh, Toy, would look like with the Corpus aesthetic. It would be a big dumb and block shape with sharp angles, no curves. Like the big dumb Crewman helmets.

Or maybe it would just be a hologram, since Corpus don't use ballistics.

It would give new meaning to the term Hard Light. :awkward:

It was, in fact, just so to make it easier for DE to animate them without facial expression. Hahah.

I'm pretty sure eventaully we will find out where the heads and other parts are being held, and will probably have nightmares for years afterwards when we see it.

This is starting to sound like the child cyborg soldier subplot from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
Skip to 41:00 and 1:10:40 for relevant scenes:
