Sarpa + shattering impact on eidolons
Does that still work?
I am seeing people in videos do that. Take away nearly all the armor.

I can see this + dead eye being way more effective than taking 3 corrosive auras if it works out (surprise surprise, if it does work, people wouldn't know).

So, does anyone know? :D

I'm about to go test it anyway.

The idea is take away all the armor and go electric damage (same number + dead eye) vs the robotic armor that remains.

Or... take away like 80% of the armor and still use radiation damage... Still not sure which one I'll pick.

But taking corrosive when you can literally get 3 times that benefit from just a sarpa? nah.

since i usualy hunt eidolon solo i used this tactic but if i'm completely honnest i haven't notised any difference.

Question: What if the one who used the sarpa was a client (not host). Does the armor reduction still applies? even if we don't see the change from yellow to red?

I wasn't seeing even any change in damage when testing it with the redeemer. I know about the yellow/red display bug but still should be seeing damage change.

I wasn't seeing even any change in damage when testing it with the redeemer. I know about the yellow/red display bug but still should be seeing damage change.

You should test it with sarpa, nobody uses redeemer for eidolons.

I know reducing armor near zero helps you making more damage, but my doubt is if only works when you are hosting. Playing as client won't show you transition from yellow to red, could be a graphic glitch. But what i need to know is if the armor gets reduced anyways.

It might just not work with the redeemer entirely; as far as the game claims (which, hey, it could be lying! That happens sometimes!), the Redeemer's shotgun fire actually does pure Blast damage, despite the spray of impact procs.

Ah. Thanks. That would actually be a very good explanation about why I'm not seeing it work. I think I just got a Sarpa built so can give it a try. I just already had the redeemer ranked and was figuring it should be similar.

This is basically what it is. Although the impact procs happen with a redeemer, it deals 0 impact damage on the charge attack so there is no armor debuff due to the mod only applying on impact damage.

It's not a bug. A red health bar means target has no armor.

Shattering impact still applies even if no damage is dealt.
But shattering impact only works if there is impact damage that is negated due to invuln. So if redeemers pellets are pure blast shattering impact won't work. Which explains what I saw.

And the red/yellow bug is that clients often still see a yellow bar even when armour is fully stripped while the host sees a red bar.
