Whats a good vpn?
So my net connection , which is what i use mostly to play, is being fixed atm so I have to change to another isp. Problem is this Isp has strict Nat issues built in their modems making me unable to log in saying " Failed login check info". People have been suggesting to use VPN. So i figured I need to find one that works great in asia because I would lag endlessly if its based on Europe/America.

So tldr whats a good VPN to use in Asia? I have Windscribe atm but im not too sure about this one.

Note: I have two internet connection at home one for home (fiber optic) and one for work (dsl) im using the dsl now with strict Nat built in the modems.

I'm using Windscribe to get past grouping problems. Works pretty well. Free version has 10GB per month limit.

there is nothing about VPN in the license agreement

iirc there is, and also in steam license agreement it clearly says using any form of vpn is a banable offense.

If you read it, you would also know "no reason" is also a reason for an account to be perma banned.

Also I am very sure vpn use is outlined in the tos.

There is in the Steam agreement, not the Warframe agreement

Ive used "Private Internet Access" VPN while playing Warframe for months.. and not been banned yet..

Use of VPN is only restricted as far as i know with Steam agreement, if used to spoof your location to a region with lower prices.

Add for OP.. DO NOT use free VPNs... you will be opening up your a*s to potential hacks and theft of private information if you do. Only use payed and well known VPNs with strong privacy policies..

You can run a VPN while using steam, have been for years, it would be absolutely beyond the most ludicrous self sabotage for Steam to start banning users who are using VPN's.

When I buy games, I turn the VPN off and pay full UK price, which sucks because that's one of the most expensive in the world, but hey, 9 year old account or something and no ban.

Go figure.

You don't actually need to turn off VPN when buying games on Steam, if the VPN and you are in different regions.
When you initially create your steam account, it will lock you to a specific country based on the IP adress at account creation. Which can be changed in case you ever move to a different country. But if your IP changes to outside the set country, it will still recognize you as being in your original country and offer the prices based on that.

You can check your accounts currently set country here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/

And also offers option to change it. Though there is a time limit to how often you can change this.

OP, most VPN services have a list of servers you can connect to, that are licated in multiple countries around the world. I guess any paid VPN (private internet, nord vpn, etc) have an option of asian servers in addition to free trial period. Could be useful to try those first.

Thanks for the replies, thankfully my fiber internet is back up and running so I dont need to use any VPN (as ive learned its not a good thing here on steam). Anyways ty all for the advices!

I've been using a VPN for years on steam and I've never had a problem in any game including warframe.
