Report a translation problem
If I recall right, there are some things he will scan any time he sees them, but they are far and few between.
You can use that if you want Helios to 'sc4n all teh things'
Also, don't forget the Sol-Battery Widget also sold by Simaris, which effectively gives you infinite scanners.
That doesn't count as an actual scan though it can be useful.
It wont earn you rep with the big orange head.
I'll have to check out the mods at Simaris though, thanks for all the advice
(it was very well visible on arbitation... you see 6-8drones, each one is orange when you use scanner... but helios scans 0-1 of them and the rest is ignored)
Some people advised to take scanner from first slot to any other but it didn't work for me :/
Does anyone have any fix?

My helios fixed itself when I have placed synthesis scanner into 1st slot of gear wheel, the normal codex scanner into 12th slot and moved investigate mod into top-left corner (1st slot of helios mods)

it worked and now it stopped working again, and repeating those steps doesn't fix it anymore
it might be important (!): it was using normal scanners from 12th slot, it ignored synthesis scanner that was on first slot (they didn't run out so amount isn't problem)
