Lets just say I was actually pleasantly surprised when I started the Mask Of The Lost One quest
That picture is from the past. Before he did away with Onkko so he could set up this whole glass-box deception to steal his widow for himself. The scoundrel.
Now because he used us to complete his deception (as it would have looked too sus if he had recovered the box himself) now because he has us decieved, he had to run a double life.
"The quills are hassling me again" all lies, can't you see that he's one step ahead of us the whole way?
"Why would he go to all the trouble of maintaining two lives within 15 feet of each other just to throw us off" I hear you ask. Well I think you just nailed it. What better way to silence our suspicions than give us some self doubt?
This was a joke btw - or is it? We can't know. Just like we can't know for sure that when we go through that door to the quills cave, that Konzu hasn't just excused himself to go take a dump, adorned his disguise and become Onkko.
Why do you think he constantly off to eat some early lunch, and yet, we haven't seen him eating once.
Now we get to reconcile them... ugh makes me want to bathe in acid.. I mean, who watches old people porn? It's like watching lizards have sex.
Cougar is in the eye of the beholder.
None of what you say makes sense.
If Konzu is Onkko - then who's home did he wreck? No one's. Because he's Onkko. And you're assuming that Saya, for some reason, can't tell that Konzu just happens to look like Onkko did.
I think people not getting it is even funnier.
Also, I didn't say Onkko was never real, I just said Onkko never set foot in that cave; and never put the flower in the box. Think about it.
