Good alternative key for hold to crouch (ctrl)?
I'm using mouse and keyboard and all the keys at their default settings. I'm really looking to try a new key binding for hold to crouch/bullet jump, because sometimes it feels like I'm actively giving myself carpal tunnel. I'd prefer to keep all other key bindings to their defaults (so I don't have to switch around the keys too much and get used to the controls again), but I'm open to suggestions. I've tried C, but that ends up hurting my finger instead of my wrist after a while.

Does your mouse has a sidebutton? I set crouch key on it and it works wonders.

Sadly, mine does not. But I may just consider getting one that does.

I set my Toggle Crouch to Z while Sprint/Roll is set to C. Though, try and see what works for you

Try setting E as crouch/slide and mouse wheel for melee.

My crouch key for years has been set to F, but I have a somewhat unusual hand stance (pinky, ring finger, middle finger on AWD). I used my Titanfall 2 keybind setup, as a lot of the parkour in Warfame is very similar to. Probably not going to be convenient for a standard hand stance, though.

V -- that's where my thumb sits and the only other thing for my thumb to do is hit space to jump.

One fluid motion pressed v and levers down space for bullet jump. but it's fluid enough that the slight timing difference between bullet jump and void dash in operator means I jump in place ALOT trying to get energy regen on.

I use left Alt for Hold Crouch, it makes sliding and bullet jumping very easy. Control for Toggle Crouch.

I use a joystick.

Crouch is down hat and jump is trigger so it feels more like shooting a gun... kind of fits with the "bullet" jump thing.

I use shift and roll on either V, C or my mouse button.

Shift is far less of a stretch for my pinky than ctrl.

You need to press shift and ctrl at the same time to fast roll. By moving crouch away from ctrl you are making this action much harder to do because you can no longer press them with the same finger. Same for bullet jumping, actually. With crouch at ctrl you never need to move your pinky away from shift and you can press shift and ctrl easily at the same time by simply straightening your finger.

I don't really care if it makes the game slightly harder for me (it's not that much of a challenge to begin with), I'm tired of coming out of long play sessions regretting it because my hand ends up hurting and cramped. I can't imagine it's good for my joints/muscles in the long run, either. My health takes precendence over the game.

That's assuming that's where your pinky sits. Also assuming that putting a lot of common actions on the pinky is a good idea.
