What is the best element damage for Eidolon hunting?
I been using my Viral damage Vectis for Eidolon hunting but I find most people use Corrosive damage. Which is better?

Where the Hell are you getting this information from? I’m morbidly curious as too who uses corrosive.

Scan them and read what their strengths and weaknesses are in the Codex. Or use the wiki.

Their "Alloy Armor" takes +75% damage from Radiation, 25% from Cold/Puncture. -50% from Slash, Electricity, and Magnetic.
Their "Robotic" health takes +50% damage from Electricity, +25% from Radiation and Puncture. - 25% from Slash and Toxic.

Viral and Corrosive damage are neither good or bad for Eidolons. Try Radiation, unless your team stacks enough Corrosive Projection to remove their armor. Then just do Electricity.

I saw my friend's loadout that he built his Corrosive Vectis on his Volt Prime.

Tell your friend Eidolons are immune to status.

Tell him he clearly knows nothing about eidolon hunting then.

So, element has no effect on them?

elemental types still DO damage, however you can't afflict them with a status effect (like Slash bleeds, fire burning, etc)

someone mentioned above how the damage types are affected by the armor (or lack of armor) on the Eidolon, use that info to adjust your weapons and mods to your liking for eidolon hunting. .

Eidolons(with armor on,the yellow bar) are weaker to Radiation, receiving +75% damage. What people usually do is run Sarpa and shoot at them 5-6 times to bring their armor down to the lowest value possible without actually removing it completely. This way you can still get the +75% damage bonus while also doing higher damage because of the lowered armor value.

You can't bring down Eidolon armor at all.

You can, with Shattering Impact, but it's completely unnecessary.

you should never look at your friend for pointers then, he obviously has no clue on how to build a weapon for eidolon hunting, and has been doing a poor job at it for a long time... radiation is the most commonly used element for eidolon hunting...

And you can with Corrosive Projection, which is the typical method.

All this time I thought it stopped affecting it at the same time Shield Distruptor did.

Seems I was wrong.
