It's not easy but it's possible.
if AoE is the way of the onslaught, how about molecular nova and amprex for a bit of meta?
Kuva Fortress maps are the worst, the enemy spawn locations are so far away from each other behind twisted passages, you waste a lot of efficiency running back and forth finding something to shoot at or waiting for them to appear. On a few other specific maps, new enemies can take too long to spawn.
On weeks where there were not too many of such maps, I have been able to solo it to wave 8 without meta gear, otherwise efficieny reaches 0 around wave 6. Having really powerful weapons is moot if it takes too long for me to find something to shoot at.
My main problem with solo onslaught is that the efficiency drain is not scaled based on number of players present. It drains at a speed meant for 4 players.
In Interception solo you capture a point much quicker, in Kuva siphon missions you only face 2 Kuva Guardians, in Defection you always only have to escort 1 group of Kavor at a time, etc.
So why was this not applied to Onslaught? The drain should be slower when playing alone. You can't expect a lone player to perform as efficient as 4 people.
I know I know: "use this meta AOE frame with this meta weapon" = bandaid for a big problem. We shouldn't have to use meta to only cover the first AABC rotation. In every other endless game mode we can pass the first AABC rotation using any frame and any weapon before it starts getting hard.
a lot of sense-talk there!
