I'm really confused... Exalted Blade questions
What mods will Exalted Blade benefit from?

Self added mods or melee weapon added mods?

Hmm...

Exalted Blade benefits from melee weapon mods and mods that you put on your Excal, such as Power Strength mods.

You mod Exalted Blade seperately, as if it's an extra weapon in your loadout.
Mods on your normal melee weapon won't upgrade Exalted Blade.
Before the recent update, Exalted Blade inherited whatever mods were equipped on your melee, and could not be directly modded. Now that Exalted Blade can be directly modded, it does not inherit the mods on your equipped melee any longer.

Thats what I thought.

I don't recall "Exalted Blade" being a separated weapon for Excalibur...

This applies to any frame with an exalted weapon now. Mesa, Titania, Valkyr, and Excal. I might be missing one, but you get the idea.

Yup, but they restricted some mods from exalted weapons, like Blood Rush, but I know why they did...

Those mods didn't work on exalted weapons to begin with. Not every mod was compatible with exalted weapons even before this update, if you had them on your melee weapon before it was basically a wasted slot for your exalted weapon.

I see
Valkyr's exalted has like 50% CC base, and my build has 12k spin attack damage, if blood rush works...

ikr... Exalted Blade + Blood Rush = lul.
but it still powerful without Bloodrush,Exalted Blade+Chromatic Blade +Conditional overload
180% procs status always enemies still died fast except augment armor or grineer bombard.
but Iron staff still weak vs armor in my opinion :v

Khora, but her cat already worked that way.

Not really, since Blood Rush relies on your combo counter to do anything, and Exalted Blade's combo counter doesn't increase when you hit enemies with waves, only when you hit them with the actual blade in Excalibur's hands.

It does count if you melee hit your targets (tested it yesterday)

It doesn't, but the Gladiator set bonus does (although Gladiator Rush doesn't increase combo timer).

Have fun!
