So...Umbra+Astilla+Sentinel = Afk mode?

I was trying to do an experiment to see how good Umbra is in protecting the operator.

I wanted some neo and axi relics so i went in a 40lv def in Eris.

I fully decked him,slapped a Rivened Astilla and Dethcube with a riven on Deth machine rifle and went to make a sandwich.

I came back,the party was full and Umbra had almost twice the amount of kills from each player ( ok ok they were like MR 14 at best but still)

Whats your afk setup?

I find your response sort of nonsensical. I have 1000+ hours in Warframe on PC, and about 1200+ hours on Xbox. MR21 on Xbox and MR20 on PC. As you can imagine I have farmed quite a lot of relics and resources over the years. It's lost it's shine, and as a result I am always curious about builds that can cut down on the monotony. If that means a build that will allow me to AFK while I complete errands, then awesome. That doesn't mean I don't find the game fun anymore, just not the Warframe chores I have done a ridiculous amount of times. Point being is if you enjoy the grind...great. Don't use an AFK build. If you don't enjoy the grind and you find it tedious, then do as you wish. I never understood why people fault others play styles in a dominantly PvE game.

because afk play is not a style, it is player deciving him self he is being "productive" by avoiding to play and just feeding his addiction to have it all....

farming relics, doing bounties, doing missions, doing sorties - you are kinda doing the same thing but somehow farming relics is only one boring?
Am I the only one who sees that entire game is exactly the same, jump around, shoot everything, get rewards with some minor twists here and there and different rewards?
If you want that relic - why is it less rewarding to farm it than to farm other random thing?
Especially when that other thing that is not boring to farm includes the same gameplay.

at the point where you find it productive that you have made game play it self without you getting involved or even watching it - it is time to leave it for a while as it grew into addiction.

So no, I do not care for different playsyle as long as it is a playsyle.

I tried using the Hikou prime.

It did not work well as it didn't fire, just stood there while I was in void mode with vazarin.

You told him AFK was bad and he should feel bad for being bad. That’s when you told him how to play. Also, he hasn’t been passive agressive, or triggered, but you are my friend.

Utilizing Umbra’s Sentient passive with supreme weaponrey and a supreme Setinel on a Defense mission, which is entirely about kills, is not the definition of an AFK Trolling Leech. If anything it’s almost more effective than a regular player playing, if it weren’t for the fact Sayrn exists and Umbra’s AI hampers him. But it works, and he obviously contributed to the mission.

OP, I would recommend if you can switching your Sentinel tp Djinn, since Defense missions are long and the Reawken mod would be useful. If you can. Also how long did the mission last? What were the end total of kills? Did Umbra freeze, or did he kill fast enough to avoid dying?

Umbra seems and looks like quite awesome, and the comunity are sik and dont like AFK players but is a farming game simulator i dont get it, the guys up in coments tray to ofend you afk style. i just make Inaros seems prety afk but skills are silenced in Index so again hype DE broken, im sick of seeing Rinho players in Index

there was no screenshot so I doubt it, or you were with 3 like minded people who afk level their Limbo as real Limbo player would do...

Nice job derailing the thread from the start, No_Quarter.

On topic; I'd be wary of your operator dying if you're gonna AFK. Otherwise, pretty smart idea.

For interceptions, I use Gara's 4 to hold one point, a specter to hold a 2nd, and hold the third myself. Not an AFK build really, but makes light work of solo. I was able to do it AFK once though in a syndicate mission, by holding the third point with operatives and just leaving Gara inside her 4, making sure the specter has line of sight on enemies surrounding the shield.

Other than that, never really tried an AFK build, might be something I look at in the future though to make grinding less grind-y.

staying in one place for more than a minute triggers the afk penalty , so killing or not while stationary might trigger it and you wont get rewards from some rounds and also you miss the items dropped around the place ...
