Braton Prime

Baza got low status, which ya gonna need the elemental with higher tier enemies. Plus it got low slash damage and damage fall off, something that high health enemies are a pain to deal with.

They're different weapons for different use cases. Braton Prime is an all-rounder, while Baza excels with Hunter Munitions and viral due to its high crit chance and low status (as viral can only proc once per enemy) and the fact that slash procs stack.

They're both very good, just depends on what you need done.

did the game change in the time I've been gone? Can you not just put corrosive on there and mow down anything the game has to offer? Stat wise it appears to be similar to the Soma Prime. did elemental become a lot more important?

Baza is inherently Silent and has almost 0 recoil.

Braton is boring and meh.

Corrosive isn't that essential anymore when you can strip armor fast with something like Mag or Saryn, which leaves room for other elemental to do good chunk of damage to that red health bar.

Baza is like irl G11(very little recoil), but full auto and silent, so good for stealth.

If you like Ivara, the Baza feels like it was custom made for her. High rate of fire and silent, great for staying invis and popping nullifier bubbles.

Baza with Hunter Munitions is doing fine against anything.
It's a niche weapon but definitly not a bad one.
