I just wanted to see if other people's claims were true, and now I'm suspended. How long does it last? Can I still communicate with my squad? Does it affect whispers? Should I contact support?

Edit: I'm not asking why I was banned; I know I did something wrong. Someone answer my questions.

You'll be banned from all chat for a week for telling a joke that is only likely to offend virtue signallers.

Don't blame traps, they're usually nice people who can take a joke, and it's not their fault anyway.

I forget the exact details (barely looked into it) but some mod who's name has 'Misandry' (huge red flag btw) in it, made a rant as to why certain word (trap, nezha, etc) were banned. It was entirely emotional dribble, with little to no reason. It used many tipical SJW phrases, buzzwords and thought processess (or lack there of).

It was also 1 of 2 notorious mods that people had been complaining about for abuse of power, iirc.

I dunno if all mods are SJW, but there sure is a few. Enough for it to be a problem.

People are not upset they cannot post dumb spam in chat. They are upset that there is a secret list of words (that can change fequently, making it uncertain) that will trigger a 7 day all chat ban, even if it was said in an innocent way or was a typo or something. No warnings. No nothing. Just an instant week long all chat ban that cripples you from communicating at all. Even talking about an ingame thing like Siphon Traps could do it. How utterly insane and unfair.

And then there's the previously mentioned power abusing moderators.

The communtiy's grievances with moderation is a legitimate one. Something has to be done to fix this mess.

i hear ya dude. warframe chat is the most turn off about this game. i find it hilarious that they act over protective in a game where young children get dragged into war, humans get experimented on etc.

Warframe never bothers to tell anyone about anything even in game mechanics and the same applies for ban list. "No Spam, Be respectful?" those are shady words and have inconsistent interpretations. the system didn't clarify that typing the same character 10 times "//////////" is worth a kick when i used it to decorate my trade offer in Trade chat untill the system kicked me. it didn't tell me either that responding to the bot that kicks you in private chat is bannable offense untill i got a week chat suspension. what the hell.

look at other mmos chat for example. (PoE, HoTS) it can get ridiculous and extremly messy at times. but that's part of the fun. to trash talk and discuss random crap.
WF mods are not DE employees they are normal players with promotions and extra admin privilages. you can't trust random people to moderate your game. unless you have enough staff to do it then you need to sort your sh*t out.

here's a thing. rename Region to Help chat since thats all its purpose introduce another channel "Space living room" with less moderation

It will take about 1 week at minimum. It uses an IP ban from the chat server to block you from all communication in-game for Warframe. You can send a ticket to support though if it lasts for more than 1 week's time, they will not respond to any request beforehand. You will not be able to communicate with the squad as you are blocked from all in-game chats and by the same token whispers are also affected. The situation can be extended and sometimes is, if DE members feel the player is still causing issues communication wise, on say the official forums after being chat banned. Hope that answers your questions WASD!
