you like fast status weapons? you can make it
you like slow crit weapons? you can make it
you like balanced weapons that have a bit of everything? you can make it
I doubt there is comparison anywhere of every possible combination, it is assumed that all combinations are somewhat the same and that it falls down to player to find what he likes.
I've made Mewan strong one shot crit sword and it is powerful, but as Mewan has strong slash it can also be made into good status weapon if you manage to bring up it's attack speed and status with other parts (as imo slow attack speed is bad for status weapons as you will fail to make use of Condition Overload)
Zaws are generally regarded as the best weapons of any class you can get them for. So they're well worth investing in. The only annoyance is that some of the best parts are exclusive to an event that's already finished (the plague zaw parts)
When you gild it you can also recolour the zaw and apply a catalyst, lens and any forma.
Since, you can build the Zaws to whatever playstyle you want it, just build whatever works best for you.
