Anyways although I like Warframe too, I don't play as much as I used to because of the grind being repeatitive and although there are updates every week there is limited content to work towards to once you catch up.
It's like smoking, you never really quit, just take breaks.
Because I can pay to win at fashion frame. Poor pathetic plebs doesn't stand a chance at matching my style.
The weapons are interesting, starting with pretty bog standard rifles and pistols to weirder things like sludge guns, muzzle-loading cannons, and throwing discs. The Warframes themselves have neat abilities with broad and far-reaching effects (don't tell me that the first time you used Rhino's Stomp to shut down a room that it didn't impress you).
Modding is fun - outside of Riven mods at least - and I like that while a few cookiecutter builds are clearly more effective than others, there's still a lot of variety to be had and room for personal-preference tweaking.
I can really appreciate most of DE's monetization strategy. Most things you can buy with plat from DE are either cosmetic or shortcuts - color palettes, skins, resources to craft with, prebuilt weapons and warframes. Slots and Reactors/Catalysts are an annoyance, but the're inexpensive enough that I can overlook them. The fact that platinum is tradeable among players and is the de facto trading currency helps immensely - this game would absolutely be pay-to-win if it weren't for that.
I can also appreciate that, while they flounder and even outright screw up from time to time, they're constantly trying new things and attempt to expand and innovate. I do wish they'd take time out from constant new content releases and do some much, much needed work fixing and optimizing older content, though. Particularly netcode, so that you don't get host migrated or separated from your squad the moment somebody's client freezes up or there's a hiccup in connection.
I can really appreciate that a lot of 'lost forevers' actually come back down the road. Stuff like Machete and Snipetron were once thought gone for good, but they've come back on a couple occasions now. Of course, the big ones aren't coming back, but with the upcoming Sacrifice quest, I can potentially be content that at least an alternative to them exists.
Getting that next Warframe, Weapon, Companion. Doing the the last Node and Junction and opening up a new World.
I love solo play and i can take my time and do what i want when i want. i am an older player and can,t keep up with you youngsters^^
