Is this game better on PC or PS4
Obviously there is going to be quite a bit of bias considering I'm asking this on the steam page of the game but I figured I might as well ask. The game looks great from everything I've seen and I want to get into it but I'm not sure how the best way to play is. Realistically I'm probably going to end up playing on both pc and ps4 with different characters if I do like the game as much as I think I will but regardless I'd like to know what you guys think. What's the advantages and disadvantages to playing on either, and for a new player which do you think would be eaiser to learn on because from everything I've heard about the game it's quite the learning curve.

I would prefer PC, as I like using KB+M for shooters. Plus, the PC version is always up-to-date.
When the big "Sacrifice" quest comes out for PC, it's going to take around 4-6 weeks for console players to get it.

PC generally would be if you want to experience updates and stuff before console players, however console players can get TennoGen cosmetics for platinum which are cosmetics made by actual players that get put into the game
Depends on how much you end up caring about the game.

But you can't go wrong with the pc version. There's literally no down side (that I can see). And the Ps4 lacks several things the pc has.

- More pop

- Ability to alt tab so you can look up info about warframe (This is a big one for me, the game is not necessarily deep, but its incredibly wide)

the list goes on.

- PC's are Superior
- The PC version of Warframe is the most up to date (console's are few updates behind)

PC is the clear choice.

Thats because we are beta testers for console players

i'l try and be as unbiased as posible
pc pros:
-probably better looking(i say probably cuz one of the devs is a god of optimazation to the point where i can run the game on my 16 year old pc so i'd not be surprized if consoles's only problem was console related if any)
-is updated sooner
-keyboard and mouse for anything shooting related is a blees for me(here i'm a bit biased cuz i can't shoot to save my life with a controler)
pc cons:
-better updated but this also means day one of any big patch is basecly bugs for all day(they do fix them prety soon sometimes maybe in under 1 hour)

console pros:
-tennogen skins are for plat
-a few exclusive skins from what i've seen
-slower updates but far less bugs
console cons:
-tennogen skins take much longer to apear for consoles then pc(that may have changed lately but i'm sure it was like this before)
-slower updates means fewer bugs but if u do get a anoying one you're stuck with it for a while

in conclusion if you don't want to wait long for updates and can laugh away at the ocasional bug(some are just funny and don't realy break the game all that much) i'd recomand pc
Pc and console market prices differ. I was told because console players do not get platinum discounts making platinum more rare and valuable. (Needs confirmation)

Since you'll need to wiki and Google a lot, pc will be eons better.

Don't forget, if you have multiple monitors you can play Warframe and watch Hentai at the same time! Doubling your productivity! :vanilla:

PC is the obvious choice for me, because I prefer using KB+M controls when playing shooters and the PC version don't have to wait for updates like the console versions have to.

PC is the clear winner here.
KBM is the way this game is meant to be played, especially after seeing Rebecca fail to hit a Dargyn with a controller (seriously?).

The only advantages console players have is Tennogen for plat (which is really, really cool), and portability (bringing a console along is much easier).

Those are the only things that matter to me.
I see no point in comparing graphics and update cycles.

Edit:
I actually forgot the most important advantage: The PC version is future-proof.
Because what will you do once the PS4 dies? Wait for a PS5 version that may or may not happen? I'd rather play it safe here.

PC
the game will even run well on a laptop if you want portability, add a controler and you have a portable always up to date with the newest patches version

Good point.
I obviously don't use laptops, but many do.

The game is not so difficult... as a poster so aptly put it above, it is wide but it is not all that deep.

The biggest issue is information...

Warframe wiki is where you should look up EVERYTHING since the game really tells you nothing... and I do mean everything... even if you master a weapon and go to delete it since it is garbage in your eyes, you need to look it up on the wiki to know if you need it to craft another weapon so you should keep it.

Want a certain warframe? The wiki can tell you how to get it... in game they just offer it for the premium currency, not tell you how to get it.

So with that in mind I think PC will help you out the most in learning the game.. just a warning though, it starts out easy then sudenly you are way underpowered <for solo>... the trick is the Mods for your warframe and equipment... it takes a long time to farm for many good mods and a lot of time to upgrade them to full ability... mods can make a gun that takes 10 clips to kill one badguy down to a few shots or one shot... the system isn't overly difficult but it does take some investment <time or money>

Or you could do a Mini ITX build to take with you for portability sake. Something like this could work: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/9vNQzy
