So I guess the first one that should be addressed is the idea that TB's initial video on Warframe had no impact or a minimal one. People tend to forget that DE was in the process of laying people off before Warframe even launched. They couldn't get any investors nor any publicity from game's journalist. It was literally Youtubers and word of mouth that advertised the game. Ford makes it quite clear that there is a "before" and an "after" TB's video for Warframe. That's not lip service, many studio's have published something similar that they see large spikes in sales etc after a video. To be fair his second video likely had much less of an impact, but that initial one was huge for a studio teetering on the edge. Plenty of great games have failed, simply because they were never covered.
In concerns to it's not fair to make some kind of memorial or enshrine him in game, cause there are other Youtubers, streamers and players who will die in the future, how is this any different than life in general? There are people who are remembered, that have statue's built of them etc, while there are others equally as deserving if not more, who are largely forgotten. There are many things they could do as a gesture of 'thanks' and appreciation for not only what he did for Warframe, but the game's industry as a whole. They don't have to be as large as a relay. They could be something as small as display art or a glyph etc. Or as already suggested something sold with proceeds going to colon cancer research.
Let the man rest in peace
All this seems to me is people trying to ride his corpse
If you are someone who does not care about the guy, you just don't have to participate in it.
Then I played Rainbow 6 seige and saw the tribute to BostonBearJew and thought ... wow is that ever lame... I would be so embarrassed by that.
I can't speak for this guy, I know nothing about him... but don't think whatever you decide to do is for "him".
The day David Bowie died, DE put an alert mission out called Spiders From Mars. It was a nice touch, but that's all we got. The community did nothing to remember his passing despite the fact that he was an inspiration to the entire world with some of the most memorable and influential music of the 20th and 21st century. Practically everyone knows tunes like Let's Dance, Space Oddity or Heroes, and I've never met a person who doesn't immediately react when hearing the bass guitar to Under Pressure.
If we're going to start honouring the memories of celebrities and people of influence within Warframe, it's opening a whole can of worms for each time a celebrity, musician, critic, or anyone with some popularity passes away. I'd have much rather there have been something more substantial towards David Bowie's death because of the things he did throughout his life, reshaping music throughout the 70's, constantly re-inventing sounds throughout the 80's and 90's, creating game soundtracks for games like The Nomad Soul (as well as starring in them!) and even in the 2000's and 2010's he was releasing hit albums along with starring in T.V shows and movies, there was also the people he made music with, like Marc Bolan, Brian Molko, Freddy Mercury and Trent Reznor, constantly showing his ability to keep changing with the times so he never sounded old or out-dated. Heck, his last album Blackstar, that out come 2 days before his death, was such a critical success it out-sold every popular singers/groups of the modern age, which is amazing for someone 69 years old and dieing of liver cancer! That's before even mentioning that he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II, he was a knight of the realm!
I don't want to sound inconsiderate, but when looked at in comparison, David Bowie did more for the world than TotalBiscuit did, so if all David Bowie gets is a single mission alert, then the most TotalBiscuit should get is the same. That's not to say the community shouldn't do something out of respect for him, but DE shouldn't really go out of their way to put something permanent in to the game without considering that they did nothing of the sort for much beloved people of the past, like Heath Ledger, Robin Williams, Roger Moore, Gene Wilder, George Michael, Carrie Fisher and the many other celebrities that have sadly been lost to us since Warframe was created.
Or basically what happens here:

I concur, no one likes Darvo anyway.
