Corrosive: Each proc permanently strips armor from the enemy. Enough procs will remove it entirely.
Viral: A six-second debuff that reduces enemy max HP by half; if you can kill them in that six-second window, you need only half as much effort to do it.
Magnetic: Same as Viral, but reduces shields to a quarter instead of health to half.
Gas: Produces a cloud that toxin procs (see below) enemies passing through it.
Radiation: Confuses enemies for several seconds, causing them to choose targets indiscriminately and makes them valid targets for friendly fire.
Blast: Ragdolls the victim and enemies near the impact point, forcing a knockdown.
Cold: Slows enemies significantly for several seconds.
Heat: Places a heat-damage DoT on the target, and causes them to panic, flailing around as they burn.
Toxin: Places a toxin-damage DoT on the target. Since it's toxin damage, it bypasses shields.
Electric: Stuns an enemy and may stun additional enemies that wander too close to the victim.
Impact: Staggers the enemy briefly.
Puncture: Reduces the amount of damage that an enemy can do for several seconds.
Slash: Places a slash-damage DoT on the victim that bypasses shields and armor.
Most useful Status are:
- Corrosive
- Slash
- Viral
Many Many thanks.
Thanks for all the info, I have one final question.
If the base status chance of a melee is atleast 20%, is it worth building it around status or raw damage? On that note actually, is it worth building any weapon that is not viable with status?
No, it's because Status procs do the same thing regardless of level. The ones I highlighted are effective because they make the enemy easier to kill. On high level enemy's, Status should be doing more work than actual damage.
