Is it okay to sell Warframes?

Follow my logic: I cannot play Warframe every living second, so I can't frind up Plat as much as I'd like, leaving me a bit in a tizzy, because I can't buy more slots for weapons/warframes.

Currently, I own Excalibur, Frost, Valkyr, Nekros Prime (don't ask), and I've got Limbo and Gara on the way. I want to sell either Valkyr or Excalibur, as I see they're both fundamentally the same stew, with Valkyr just being more team-oriented.

Is it okay if I want to sell one of my frames to make room for Limbo/Gara? As far as I see it, I've got a variety of problems in keeping and selling them:

• I'd have to grind them back (if I ever needed them).
  
• Selling Valkyr to make room for Limbo means I'll never be able to get that slot back: Limbo can only be built once, same for Gara, so by selling Valkyr, I'd be losing that slot permanently.
  
• By not selling them, I need to make plat, which isn't the easiest thing for my time-restricted life, so I'll have to somehow sling together cash to buy plat for slots (my actual moola I make at my vacation job won't pay out for me yet).

Maybe I'm missing something, but, is there a way for me to get the plat together for the slots? Or is it okay to sell one of my frames?

Only sell the ones that come from clans/planets. Don't sell quest ones.

Agreeing with the above two - don't sell Primes, and don't sell anything that comes from a quest unless you already have its Prime. For instance, Mirage comes from a quest (Hidden Messages), but if you get Mirage Prime it's okay to sell her, since you have a straight upgrade to her.

If you really are dead set on not grinding for platinum, perhaps putting $5 into the game for some slots would be best. In my opinion, frames aren't worth selling unless you have the prime variants, unless you don't like said frame.

Earning 20 plat for a slot is actually pretty easy. Just gather some relics whenever you have time one evening and open them when you have more time. Those frames built in your foundry aren't going anywhere! To get anything in warframe, you unfortunately either have to spend time or money.

The easiest and simplest solution is to get trade enough to get 20p and buy the slot. There are items to farm that are fairly easy to get that are worth 20p or more.

learn about vault runs and you will not consider selling them ever again.

for me, I keep both primed and regular warframe as prime servers for kinda standard strong builds while regular warframe is about "if it's stupid but it works then it ain't stupid" kind of builds where I generally overdoo on some stats and play around like a one-trick pony.

well, since you cannot be really farming/grinding for things and so forth, there is a way but i am not sure if you are gonna like it.
buy some plat with real money, and then buy the frames/weapons you need/want from the in game market.
those come with a slot too, so you won't have to worry about it.
or, just buy the slots for them and build the frames/weapons yourself.
it is not that hard to make 20 plat for slots, though.
you could be selling syndicate augment mods, for exampe, if you want/have.
those go for like 20plat per piece, if i am not mistaken.
i'd recommend you not to be selling frames/weapons though, in general.

I second the syndicate mods. you can get them just by doing what you already do in normal gameplay, albeit timegated, so it sounds like itd be the perfect thing to invest in for you. vault runs are good but if you dont already do those then its just taking up time that you said you dont have much of.
