Selling Rivens is just...not fun

I would be better off trying to sell veiled mods rather than sell them unveiled in trade chat for my offers to get drowned out by the others that sell theirs for 5k plat. I absolutely refuse to use the Riven Marketplace as the interface is god awful. Has anyone here actually bought a riven?

Sold a few, it takes time but what can you do? The market is dependant on the buyers rather than the sellers.

I buy riven with two things in mind, Price and Value. If its a riven that got deposition of 5, I would get it if its for a weapon I want. Otherwise, I wouldn't consider buying anything else.

I buy trash rivens all the time for 15 plat a piece. Unless you have a very very good roll on your riven for a popular riven weapon (such as Castanas - just sold a Castanas riven for 500 plat yesterday), then you're going to have to be patient and it'll take a while to sell. Also, if you're serious about selling it and you can spare the credits and endo, fully upgrade it. That's a good way to entice serious buyers.

I've picked up quite a few for weapons that I enjoy, but their rivens aren't (or weren't at the time) in high demand and would require me to do the rolls. Akmagnus, dual Ichor, twin basolk and a few others that were very cheap.

there isnt reaally a working mechanism to easily sell rivens.
there is some sites but you can never tell if they really working. Sometimes i see people on forums who 100% convinced its easy to sell riven for 2-8k platinum just like that.
but in reality you can spend years selling riven like that and never find a buyer.

it depends on your stats.
and your refusing a big marketing while not using riven market.
Go to reddit, warframe trading forum or discord, but in trade chat you wont sell them quickly.

I've sold many rivens. It's alot about knowing the market. Hot rivens at the moment: tiberon, opticor, scoliac, Lanka. Just unrolled trash rivens go for 600p+.

Also got know know what stats = what price. There somewhat standard prices for certain stats. What will happen is bunch of people messaging you who don't know prices, or trying to get a bargain. If patient enough you will find a buyer who will pay full price.

I sold a tiberon riven, crit damage, crit chance, electric, and harmless negative for 3.85k a few weeks ago. If the riven were for anotger weapon like let's say lex prime, itd only go for 1000 or less.

It's important to choose which weapon to roll for and the timing. I saved 100k-200k kuva waiting for the right opportunity. Then the massive weapons rework hits and suddenly certain rivens were in demand like synapse. Then tiberon prime comes out and turns out to be a massive hit with the community. And guess what I did. Roll these rivens for sale.

better riven you have to sell - more toxic people will try to lowball you with their trash logic and bs comments like offering 50p for cc+cd riven for soma jsut because it is unrolled. 10/10

using extrenal sites to get a picture on expected price is a way to go, and laughing on lowball trash is jsut path we have to go...

What I learned about trade chat - I do not spend too much time there, like up to 5 minutes when I am taking a mini break from the mission and then I move on.
That way frustrations do not pile up, spamming same message for 20 minutes only makes same people see it 10 times...

Post it twice and gtfo, trade chat is easilly the most salty part of the game.

That's why I hate rolling for OP meta rivens like Scoliac, recently I was lucky to roll range+slide attack and best offer I got was 665 plat... ended up trading it for very good Acra Plasmour riven and decent Lenz riven 1:2... and I feel good because that curse is out of my hands, I do nto have to deal with that trash anymore.

Hahaha are you serious? I have a max rank low roll crit chance lanka mod sitting around from like half a year ago when I sold a pistol riven for it

selling rivens is pretty easy, even more easy right now since people buy any kind of riven for like 15, so even if you get a trash riven for a trash weapon you still can sell it
