What Would DE do if NOBODY did the Plague Star Event?

It's definitely never going to happen, due to the nature of the event and loot being a taunt, but what WOULD DE do if somehow every single player got together and did nothing during the Plague Star event?

Would we get some alternate ending where the boil DID take over cetus?

What the community actualy does is irrelevent. When the timer is up the event ends the Boil will be gone and you'll get a message from Lotus saying Konzu thanks us.

That's the only answers you'll get as there is no other outcome. It's just how these events are.

who knows though. i mean. relays get destroyed. maybe DE has some backup version of cetus and the plains where there is infested growth everywhere and the mobs are infested grineer and such. its ok to dream a little, right?

Relays don't get destroyed, not since the first (very, very likely scripted) event that introduced the Fomorians and *just so happened* to destroy all but 3 relays on all three versions of the game (PC, Xbox, PS4). The "relay under attack" events since then have never resulted in the actual destruction of any relay.

Even if they had a reward for 70% of people to not do it, people would still do it.

But the point is what MIGHT they do?

I suppose lots of people here took "What if" questions a bit too seriously.

My thoughts are that
- Cetus will be overran, people there are forced to move to another colony, or other place such as Iron Wake.
- Grineer bases will be ravaged, nothing will be left after that, Grineer are forced to evacuate
- Sentients will eternally engage with Infested in the Plains
- Tenno have to invade Vay Hek bases to steal the toxin in large amount and deploy a lot of them at once to eradicate Infested and help rebuild Cetus should the deed be done

The relay in the past has been set to be destroyed. Some of few fomorians are easily died, while some seems impossible to take down even in unison.

The Lotus would simply get a Teralyst to come and wack the ♥♥♥♥ out of the boil considering that it’s shields are invincible.
