Later in the game you'll get into trading, where you can sell certain items for Platinum to other players.
Sold a maxed primed point blank for 300 plat.
...I think there was actually some promotion where the Smoke color palette was available as a twitch drop, but that was a unique period of time that I believe ended ages ago.
Palettes are given away during holidays. The list being: Valentine's Day, Easter, and Halloween.
Trading is locked behind mastery rank 2, which is ridiculously easy to get to. How exactly is telling someone they should learn to trade "poisonous?" They're helping OP avoid spending money from their own wallet to get some color palettes. If anything, it's rather helpful. I'm very confused as to why you are so upset over this.
It's not. Only in the unlocked full version for plat.
Unfortunately seems colors black and purple are available only if you buy the right color pallets.
There was one time they gave a way a defunct color palette for free which had black in it but it won't happen again.
Before I receive a shower of rebukes for this comment, let me clarify the point of controversy about the black in that holiday pack: What plenty of people call a "REDDISH black" when they see my [very public] signature DEStalker fashionframe (in any frame I use), it's the tri-color combination of [genuine] black from VALENTINE pack, default color palette red, and also from valentine a dark "reddish brown" or "brownish red", whichever way you prefer to see it. People mistakenly point at the dark unidentifiable color that acompanies the red and black. The proof is in the pudding: the few who ever saw my secret signature Golden Heroes (aka Excal Umbra: black, "gold", dark gray... and even more black and gold) fashoinframe since long ago have never complainted about me using a "reddish brown" or "brownish red", even if they barely look at it with the same detail that they look at my signature DEStalker look.
About the tri-color for DEStalker: Those who care about look to the codex in game, and care to fill it up, can verify that the regular stalker shows clearly 3 colors, not 2: red, black, and brown. A lot of people around go with wrongfully used combination of black (from the smoke pack, which is the same as in VALENTINE) and whatever red they please. Not only they locate those black and red wrong, but also misuse the rest of whatever fashoinframe they use (when not using Hunhow's Gift, which isn't compulsory, is art FFS). They don't even look edgy, just childs with crayons drawing over the PC screen.
Why do I use a different and darker brown from the one at the codex then? Cuz art. I made it better than DE, and somehow a lighter brown looks dull on a player (like the neutral brown DE uses). Somehow, DE's coloring of both Stalkers look different in the battlefield (Shadow Stalker uses that brown afaik, is not visible in the codex but surely is still there. Hackers, that's your call for heroism. Investigate.) Also notice that on my fashionframe I respect the physical location of those colors on Excal, althought I still can revise how I use them in other frames for lack of static model and to make it optimal.
