Example for that would be to try to play two songs from Lez Zeppelin at the same time, Kashmir and No Quarter, one is in D and other one is in C#m.
Playing Deep Purple's Mistreated and Jinny Hendrix's Foxy Lady alongside each other will not hurt as much as both songs are in F#m.
Song have different tempo which still hurts but you may get a picture of what "key" means.
Making Fruty Loops like program is nothing new, Midi players have been out for a while but none of them has to make enjoyable gameplay.
So I doubt they will go more advanced on it, I wish there was a full scale and with it option to replicate some truly epic songs but it will most likely not happen
But i did made sure that my songs are actual songs and not some annoying min-max noise.
I have a couple of pretty cute tracks.
When Im playing solo, I exclusive use Levan Polkka for her Mandachord. It brings me great satisfaction to watch everything kill itself to Levan Polkka.
When I play in groups, I just use Pumped Up Kicks, as its a nice beat, and the Metronome is fairly simple to hit.
I personally listen to other music or podcasts while playing Warframe so I usually don't even hear my own Octavia tracks even if I put quite a lot of time into making them.
About making Mandachord more complex, I personally would like it but I'm someone who actually knows music theory and writes and plays music during my free time, but keeping Mandachord as simple as possible is pretty much necessary so that people who don't know much about music and have no experience with audio software can get something out of it. It's a video game after all.
I mean all i would like to see is being able to change different songs during a mission.
And the best thing: you can sell songs on the market!
a playlist would be cool ^^
It's one of those things that makes me turn off whatever podcast or whatever that I'm listening to in the background so I can better hear the phat beats.

A visual would also help deaf people play her.
