Zenurik seems to also be useful with the "Energizing Dash". Helps to keep energy up for team in the heat of battle.

Actually, you need a few of them not only one. Madurai for AMP energy & energy regeneration speed, Unairu for operator armor and Vazarin (main tree) for operator HP & HP regeneration speed, Protective Dash (5 sec. protection against magnetic waves is more than enough & HP regeneration), also for instant revives. Plus a few operator arcanes for HP & Armor. That's how I am playing.

Waybounds aside, the only two that really have any significant damage-boosting abilities are Unairu's wisp and Madurai's void strike. The latter sounds like it has really taken off big-time in popularity, but part of that was because it worked well with just waiting to shoot until an Adarza buff went off, and now adarza buffs no longer affect operators.

I don't have much experience with eidolon hunting but I would assume it would be most effective when using different trees for each member of the squad

On paper yes, but in reality? no, most groups only accomplish 1-2 per night
