Rule 63 skins
I am certain there is a lot of frames out there you would think would look beter as their other gender.
A manly Ember, a A slim yet strong womanly Rhino, a more female Nezha so people can go "oh, I am no longer confused"
The list could go on. With a gender swapped frame, DE could REALLY make some good money off it, creating skins and helms for the swapped frames.
And what changes other then looks? Well a new animations of course, but other then that, no change in their abiliteis or mod slots.
Just, think on it.

Too much work for a useless gimmick, do you have a problem playing as a certain gender? I personally like female frames better because they are slim and look able to do flips everywhere, but certain frames would look terrible with a female model, a male nova would literally be an atronaught.
Just color your frame pink or something
there is a LOT of useless gimmicks out there. And who says a male version of a female frame has to be large and bulky huh? A female Rhino could still be big and strong with a female shape. While a male nova could be as petite as a female nova, only not as curve.
but I like those frames the way they are! I don't want a female rhino, that's just stupid. Nor a Neal Armstrong.

Considering De went away from having female and male versions of frames I don't think they want something like this.

Then you run into problems, such as does gara keep the codpiece when gener-bent? does she lose it?

Just making extra model for each of the frames we have now would take months. It would also double the modelling work on every new frame. Tennogen are not allowed to change body mesh and there's a good reason for that. There's a lot more work involved in implementing an entirely new model into the game than in just implementing the helmet + retexture.

Honestly, no amount of money you could potentially get from this really justifies this. But even then the act of monetizing this would inevitably anger the same people this is meant to serve becase instead of "Why do I have to play a woman/man." it would be "You expect me to PAY for the priviledge of playing a woman/man." which would be even worse.

And frankly, if you're making an entirely new model you might as well make it a deluxe skin or entirely new frame. That will make you more money and make community much happier than wasting time on gender swaps.

While on the topic of deluxe skins... think about the rate at which thosed come out. Yeah... how long would it take to make gender swaps just for the current roster? And what about primes? Do those get a new model too?
cleni 19 ENE 2018 a las 15:44
Both gender warframe where going to be added to the game, changing a warframe abilities kit.
Having skins like that would take a lot of time and they can use that time making actualy playable stuff.

Chesh, youve never exactly been a genius but this is a new one...

No ones going to take the male Rhino from you.

That seems a lot of work for a simple cosmetic change. but if they one time wanted to do that, more power to em.

Clent mentioned this only you gave more detail. now that I think on it, to be honest having a frame that is themed the same but different gendered would be interesting. A new name and new means of working with the theme of the powers.
Granted I think not EVERY frame should get have a swapped gender, a few really. More like DE should put up a sort of vote of what frames should be, and the top 3 get a gender rework.

So if I'm reading this right.
You want DE to make three entirely new frames that follow a vague theme that has already been followed by an existing frame just because you want different "genders" on Warframes?

If there is a strong enough support, which I highly doubt, yeah. In reality do I feel that this idea will be more then a steam post? No not really.

Perhaps a inbuilt customization feature everyone has, like a color palate. you press one button and you get Volt's male model, press the other and you get the female model.

Just color your frame pink or something

Technically we don't need to color our frames at all, and yet...

People love any bit of customization they can get. I think that it's an interesting idea, personally. Although Nidus... Wouldn't a female Nidus just end up as Saryn?

1) it adds nothing to the game
2) it triggers triggerable people
3) lots of work with 0 profit as you would have to make it free because 2
4) apart from stupid memes there are not actual reasons to have such feature in this game

1) It adds options to the game. I don't get this - people complaing there isn't enough gender representation in games and then you come here and people ♥♥♥♥♥ if you suggest more gender representation would be desirable.

2) Yeah. Yes it does.

3) Like every other skin created on Tennogen. They're all made for free and the vast majority have no change at all of even getting into the market.

4) Because FashionFrame.

You could say this about any cosmetic changes ever, including all those skins and tennogen stuff.
I did not mean like that, skins add taste to the game - swithcing genders of warframes adds nothing. Creates so many questions, people would want to rename their warframes cause Ember, Equinox, Excalibur, Loki, Ivara, most warframes names are tied to their gender....
so it adds nothing but problems, and for what exactly?

Of all the names you've listed, only Loki (and, questionably, Ivara) are not gender specific. There's nothing 'male' or 'female' about Ember, or Excalibur, or Nekros, or Hydroid, etc.
Incunabulum 19 ENE 2018 a las 19:02
And let's keep in mind that the original concept that lead to specific 'genders' for each frame had each frame as 'hero' unit - there was to be only one Excalibur in canon no matter how many showed up on your team in mission.

There was no operator, the frames were you and not a biomechanical puppet controlled from afar.

The lore reason to have (and keep) disctinct genders for frames (or to have genders on them at all) has gone now that that has changed.

Speaking of Tennogen, it would also allow people who do that more room to work. Like who ever does Graxx could make a genderswapped version for example.
Different gender would mean a different model.
DE isn't going to redo every frame just for some money so people can have alternate genders for humanoid suits of infested flesh.

Different gender doesn't mean a different model any more than any of the other skins that already exist would require this.

There are plenty of skins that change the model itself and are not simply retextures.

And why would we want to introduce this gennder issue into a GAME?? I mean except for allowing special snowflakes like OP to get even MORE triggered.....whats the point????

its about as relevant as the players who just have to say "Nezha is a trap" in public chat.. You know..the ones who come crying to the forums after they earn yet another chatban...for the same sentence that got them banned 3x already....
