[newbie] Strands in Cetus

I wanted to purchase items in Cetus, apparently they require another type of trading money called strands (?)
I thought combat would help me gain those strands so this is what I did
- Join a combat
- After one/ two combat I quit
- I did see the sentence of strands gaining but it didn't add up into my... wallet... or whatever you call it

I just wanna buy a mining gun but nothing is helping lol

you gain standing by doing bounties: more diffficult ones give more otherwise you can sellfish or ore at the stores

Cetus has its own syndicate (an NPC faction you can become friends with), and syndicates use a currency called Standing. You can get Standing with Cetus by doing bounties at Konzu, but IIRC you have to actually run all the way back to the gate if you want to keep the standing you got from a bounty.

Personally, I'd say to just skip Cetus and come back later. It's a noob trap because it has its own self contained economy that doesn't influence anything outside of Cetus. You should focus on getting through the star map and trying to get the mods, weapons, and warframes that you want.

another way to get standings is fishing, you go fish and give fish to people of cetus.
not really fast way but it it out there

but as said, it should not be your top priority, I'd get rough the star map first.
Unless there is an event on cetus, then get in there

not "strands", "standing" - and that are basically the IOU's in warframe - get them by doing "favors" to the people of cetus (bounties, fish-exchange and donated gems).
for the quills, the only IOU's you can get are by donating eidolon cores (which you probably can't do if you are that new).
