why use despoil on nekros?
with the efficiency that i have on my nekros for desecrate being at 2.5 energy, I will always have plenty of energy to constantly run desecrate and use other abilities, why would you use more mod slots when you wouldnt have to?

Masochism.

No, honestly, I see no point in it either. I can run infinite energy on him just by using Zenurik and 160% Efficiency (which doesn't negatively impact his farm build at all) and doesn't degenerate HP either.

Despoil is pointless unless you don't like Zenurik or picking up Orbs.

I like it, it uses health instead of energy so you basically have unlimited energy, it's a cheap mod thats worth it if you haven't got a efficiency build and I don't like the energy drain so it's basically the perfect mod for my nekros

Equilibrium and Health Conversion.

Also I don't use Zenurik.

Because nekros regains health faster than energy both because of his passive and because health orbs pop out more commonly than energy orbs.

Also because having a tiny, constant health drain can help power certain mods like Health conversion (1350 armor is nice) but you always have the option to push 1, 2 or 4 to spend a little energy for anything similar.

Also because an energy drainer or magnetic proc can stop your desecrate orb production by removing all of your energy but health lasts effectively "forever".

Also because your health pool on nekros should be significantly larger than your energy pool and you have many more sources of regaining health than for regaining energy.

Also because it frees you up to use focus schools other than Zenurik. you can run more damage or a better void dash focus school.

nekros is a weird cat.

he doesn't really need the same mods as other warframes do, so the space is not as valuable. On the other hand, despoil allows nekros to constantly require hp, which means he is picking up the health drops, which adds armor through another mod, which makes him very VERY hard to kill.

^ This. I like using Vazarin on Nekros or Naramon if I feel like melee'ing things

why not? Medi-ray gives enough healing to keep desecrate on indefinitely (considering desecrate itself combined with Nekros' passive isn't enough according to the math)

Also, what's the problem with using more mod slots? it's not like you use formas for anything else

Despoil is the only thing that allows my god-mode nekros build to work. Energy wouldn't last long at 15.5 per corpse on top of 155 for keeping up Shield of Shadows.

The main use of Despoil is to decrease your health so you can pickup health orbs for Health Conversion

Because you don't have to waste 2 mod slots for efficiency mods to keep the energy cost up instead. Just use health. Desecrate drops health orbs all over the place anyway, so even with lower efficiency it doesn't hurt at all.

edit: also Health Conversion.
