Decided to give Warframe another spin after having not played it for a year or more, only to find out that my account has been banned with absolutely no reason given as to why.

A quick google search would reveal that it has been banned to prevent it from being hacked due to inactivity.
Write a ticket to support and it should be resolved with utmost haste.

Accounts usually get suspended for inactivity but the times that it happens to those accounts are kind of random from what multiple people point out (happening to them). Mainly this is to prevent hackers from getting into your account while you're away and then messing with it (of course people should also be using two factor authentication in addition).

Not to mention there was a pretty massive data breach not too long ago where it was found that 773 million unique email addresses were exposed (along with their passwords): https://www.troyhunt.com/the-773-million-record-collection-1-data-reach/

You have to understand that for DE the original owner doesn't want to play the game, so they lock the account, in the case of it returning they check a few things to make sure it's still the owner, so please don't act like 2 weeks of not playing warframe is to much, because the original owner probably was absent for months, he does not care about 2 weeks.

if you care, if your ip changed, if your machine changed, if there was a suddent email adress cheange, then it likely means it's not the owner talking or wanting to play.

Talk to support and then they either unlock the account, or they keep it locked, depending on the info they get.
