Yellow, Orange and Red Crit meaning?
So as far as i understand it. The more crit you have above 100% the color changes respectivly.

But....

What does that mean in therms of damage?

Is it so to say that 1000 Red crit does more damage then 100.000 Yellow crit?
it sure as heck doesnt appear that way.

So what exactly does it mean? And why is there a difference?

Regarding color, you are right. After 100% crit chance, any extra is the chance to increase your critical "rank". Orange crits are rank 2, reds are rank 3+.

For a YELLOW crit (Rank 1) it's <Damage x Crit Multiplier>
For each rank after, add an additional <Damage x (Crit Multiplier -1)>

Does that mean if a weapon had a crit multiplier of 1 (through the use of rivens probably), that orange crits would deal no damage?

the equation is technically: 1 + Crit Tier × (Modded Crit Multiplier − 1)
they expressed the "1 +" using the word "additional" i.e. adding to base.

Ah okay, that equation makes more sense. Thanks!
