But if they have a resource booster it seems kind of a waste to farm credits.
To farm with the resource booster it depends on what you want to get.. cryotic is always nice to get while you have a double booster
The irony of someone like me saying that notwithstanding.
Polymer is always needed and Cryotic isnt something you tend to get in normal play. You get a but of Oxium as well.
But really look at what resources you are short. Since sometimes its worth farming that unstead.
Resource drop chance (blue) boosters, however, increase the drop rates in the game you are in. This, so far as I am aware, is not related to if you get the killing blow, or even within affinity share range of the mob.
Credit Boosters work like resource boosters, doubling credits as you pick them up. I believe this would work on things like the Index, but I haven't used one in a while so I can't recall.
