A problem with Two Factor Authentication
I’m fairly new to this game forum, so I’ll make it brief.

So a friend of mine and I have been wanting to trade a bit of mods. The game requested me to verify TFA and so I did when they sent me a confirmation email. Then, I relogged off the game.

The same error popped up on our second attempt. Again, I tried to click the provided link via the email, but it stated that either TFA was enabled or the link is invalid (I’m starting to strongly believe it is the latter). I reloged once again though it came to give me the same error again. Even tried resetting my PC, relogging constantly. Nothing’s working. I really hope to get some support here.

I’ll be contacting the support team too.

Welcome to the glorious world of "safety" for your account.

The devs get to save by automating a thing that makes everyone else's life worse.

Congrats, you fell for the bait.

Well, ♥♥♥♥.

Some of these "security measures" can be unnecessary and just downright painful. I’m really unsure why trading can’t be optimized to be any made any easier. Putting security measures on simple things like this is just blatantly stupid. I can’t describe it in any other way.

That's going to be your best bet. Don't get discouraged by salty horror 'stories' you hear here.

It's been a while since I've worked with network administration (or what would technically fall under that category), it could be an issue with VPN or a spoofed IP if that applies to you.

My only bet.

I’m still really not a fan of that certain part regarding the TFA and all of that, but eh. I can live with it.

Not really like you have a choice unless you spend close to $1000 on plat

What are you referring to? What's the plat for? (Kind of a new player here)

It's there because people were subjected to scamming attempts, because people believe in false hopes and manipulations, why do you think Steam is so restrictive about its trades, it's the same reason.
However in WF's case the 2FA makes no sense, because it's unusual for the code to be sent to email, rather than a phone device, like Steam.

You know you have some great points there.

Since your steam account is linked, WF should be able to authenticate via Steam instead of warframe.com. It should be that way.

Stop bullshitting around ridiculous exaggeration. $1000 spent on platinum is ridiculous and absolutely unnecessary.

I didn't think any of us had a choice in the matter. Either you 2FA or you don't trade ever again. That was my understanding of it.

You can say that ... but as a person who didn't trade before I know.. I even knocked a couple of hundred off from buying Prime access stuff.

No one said you HAD to spend that much. But 4 boosters at 200 plat each add up quickly on top of everything else.

That is entirely YOUR fault for spending a thousand ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars in that case because you couldn't be bothered to farm instead of buying your way through. But do not try and pawn that off as a typical experience for people who don't even trade. A THOUSAND dollars is a ridiculous amount of money to spend in a single video game, no two ways about it, and that has nothing to do with what you actually said. Spending money for instant access to new shiny equipment is not the same as spending money to buy sufficient slots in any category, and if someone does that and borders $1000, they did everything wrong.

My problem with you saying this crap is that the OP is a new player, and you're sitting there telling them that they may feel compelled to spend $1000 on basic necessities like slots, and that's total and utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ , with or without trading.
Even saying a couple hundred is an unreasonable sounding amount of money, but even that would've been preferably to cranking up the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and exaggerate with a figure like a thousand bucks. When it comes to matters like this, stop with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ exaggeration and hyperbole, it has absolutely no place in this discussion.
