What was the old meta to you?
Simple really, I'm trying not to ♥♥♥♥. And with the recent power bump and these Amalgam things on Stupider (Jupiter) I'm doing just that. Builds that melted high level enemies barely scratch them. Even when modded for the respective elemental weaknesses.
What about weapons then? My orange crit Soma P does f*ck all against those Demolist things. Same with my Ignis Wraith modded for viral.
Alternatively, you could move away from meta of the week mindset and instead try to find the builds that work best for you.
The new mods are nothing too great for normal usage. At most they help you deal with some of the riven challenges that you can't do on the new tileset and do things that look useful in Simulacrum but are kinda super specialized otherwise.
Demolysts are a special case and have innate damage resistance. Instead of bullet hoses, look at weapons that pack a punch like Astilla, Arca Plasmor, catchmoon, and other weapons with a high per-hit damage.
As far as frames go: mesa kinda works, but falls off after a while, equinox (p), saryn (p), chroma etc all work if you want to make it easy on yourself
My choice of weapon vs Demolysts was the Prisma Grinlok, actually. High damage per shot and it takes out Demolysts pretty fast if you tend not to miss your shots
Viral is actually okay vs Corpus since the humanoids are health + shields, but unless you have ways around the shields, like slash or toxin damage, it's going to be only so effective. And the Ignis is not going to deal slash unless the OP is running Hunter Munitions, and won't deal toxin since it's already balanced for viral. Heat can't bypass shields so his best bet there is Radiation
In the end it probably means the OP shouldn't be running the Ignis
After a lot of considerations I felt going with something that had neither a bonus or a minus would probably be best. And seeing as how this is a swarm mode I personally chose Electric on a lot of stuff. But weapons like the Arca Plasmor can hit so hard it wouldn't matter if you went with radiation honestly.
