The Argonak one is interesting, it upgrades the Argonak's native target highlighting ability to a wallhack (highlights enemies through walls and obstacles), while effectively adding Shattering Impact to daggers (apparently still requires impact damage, so no dice for the (Rakta) Dark Dagger), which is a little weird since, while daggers are fast, they have covert lethality.
Javlok's is hilarious for it's secondary effects, channelling with a sword and shield weapon causes the enemies to kill themselves reasonably effectively. Not terribly practical though since it'll show you just how much the enemies miss you.
Furax's looks interesting too. A 15m knockdown each time you kill an enemy with them while also being the longer combo duration mod we have. Also has the "Firestorm" effect.
Ripkas and Daikyu look a bit meh by comparison.
If you use the Ripkas, the mod should be welcome for being better than True Steel, and it's secondary effects are definitely nice to have, but aren't that special by comparison.
The daiku's, I feel is going to make it into something of a go to "stat-stick" for nikanas since it adds life steal without taking up mod space in the nikana itself.
- Upside: You can highlight enemies through walls, and the thickness of the walls you can see through is determined by your punchthrough length.
- Downside: The enemies are fully highlighted as one solid colour, rather than just an outline, and that makes it very difficult to gauge where their heads are if you're going for headshots
If the mod ever gets changed so that it only highlights them with an outline, like without the mod, then I'd probably like it more.
