You get it from other players who have the cyst or Nidus (I think that's how it works). Other than look really out of place, it doesn't do anything to you. If you get it removed by Helminth, you can't get another cyst so you won't be able to get a Helminth Charger unless you get a new frame or drain the one you already have.

I'm asking if there are negative consequences for getting it from other players instead of hemlith.

It ruins fashion frame, other than that there aren't any downsides.

The cyst is used to make helminth chargers. Other than that its purely cosmetic

You have to remove it from each and every frame you get. Once you remove it from a frame, that frame can not get it again.

If you want to, you can remove it from all of your frames, there are no benefits or penalties to game play mechanics for the frame from having it or removing it.

You do need a full cyst to be able to breed a Helminth Charger kubrow though. Don't worry though, if you've removed it from all your frames, there is always a new frame / prime coming that you can catch it with and let it mature.

At worst, you can just farm a frame from bosses (rhino mag frost excalibur nova ember loki equinox saryn hydroid and some I'm probably forgetting are all purely boss drop). Frames that are freshly made can catch it even if you already removed it from a pre-existing version of that frame.

Im not asking about if there are downsides to having a cyst. im asking if there is a problem with getting it naturaly against initiating it ON NIDUS. NIDUS

It should be Nidus the one spreading it not catching it plus you will trigger a event flag if you sit on the chair as Nidus.

It only has the one use. If you cure a frame, they can't get it again. If you sit in the chair with Nidus to get the first cyst, it is the same as if someone infected you with the cyst. It is the exact same cyst. There is no difference between the cysts currently and probably will never be a difference.

They might in the future revisit the concept of the cyst, but probably not. It has been a very long time since those plans got tossed.

It's the same cyst either way, the only difference is Nidus is the only warframe you can grow a new cyst on voluntarily. You would really only do this if you want a Helminth Charger.

Nidus is the only one which can get another one. All warframes won't get it after you pop the first one they get.

I'm guessing they let you regrow the cyst on Nidus so players can get a repeatable way to make helminth charges without making players craft new warframes if they've already popped the cysts on all other frames.

Only downside is that you and everyone around you gets eye cancer by looking at it.
