If you want to, you can remove it from all of your frames, there are no benefits or penalties to game play mechanics for the frame from having it or removing it.
You do need a full cyst to be able to breed a Helminth Charger kubrow though. Don't worry though, if you've removed it from all your frames, there is always a new frame / prime coming that you can catch it with and let it mature.
At worst, you can just farm a frame from bosses (rhino mag frost excalibur nova ember loki equinox saryn hydroid and some I'm probably forgetting are all purely boss drop). Frames that are freshly made can catch it even if you already removed it from a pre-existing version of that frame.
It should be Nidus the one spreading it not catching it plus you will trigger a event flag if you sit on the chair as Nidus.
They might in the future revisit the concept of the cyst, but probably not. It has been a very long time since those plans got tossed.
I'm guessing they let you regrow the cyst on Nidus so players can get a repeatable way to make helminth charges without making players craft new warframes if they've already popped the cysts on all other frames.
