Sniper rifles vulkar/rubico/vectis ??

Not usually big on sniper rifles but i like way ones i tried in WF. Initially with vulkar then vectis. Tried rubico (i can build the prime once i have the MR), however i dont quite like the way it handles oddly. Is the prime version better?. Is it worth looking to grab vectis prime ?( yes i know its vaulted)

the sniper rifle that WORKS FOR YOU is the "best" rifle. There is no META. The LANKA is only the best if you like it. Same with the Vectis.

I have all of them, and I prefer the vectis prime over the others. It just feels right for me.

Vulkar Wraith is a lot better than the standard Vulkar in terms of how it handles, but you'll have to wait until Baro sells it again

Rubico and Vectis are both pretty good as standard versions, and of course their primes are also better. But as for paying for it while it's vaulted, that's up to you

No, there absolutely is a Meta. And some Snipers are better than others.

Rubico Prime is the meta Sniper Rifle. It's also my personal favorite (though I liked it before it got it's Prime and became the Meta).

Vectis Prime is also one of the top Snipers. Good shot pacing.

Snipertron Vandal is good too.

Vulkar Wraith, some people claim it's good, but it has base 20% crit chance, so with Point Strike it gets 50%, which basicly makes every shot a coin flip. Bad for a weapon intended to oneshot most foes. I don't like it.

Lanka, hardest hitting sniper. But it requires charge up before every shot, and it fires a projectile that has travel time (not hitscan). This means it's a very slow and clunky Sniper to use, and it's greater damage is rarely even needed. (It has a small niche as an Eidolon limbs popper). I don't like it.

What do you want out of a sniper rifle?

Hitscan or projectile
Large numbers or many shots

largest numbers are from a projectile sniper rifle, but hitscans can also do over 30k damage, which pretty much makes the numbers a vanity thing as few things can survive a hit like that. (Perfectly acceptable)

the vectis with its 1 round magazine means certain mods work on it, namely charged chamber. Of course, that means one less mod of another type, so the value is... situational.

If you did not know you can turn the annoying scope optics off and then vectis plays like sybaris, only harder hitting and without the reloading. I really dislike whichever one has the charge up trigger; if you want that you can get a bow and do as well or better its junky on the rifle IMHO. I think that is lanka but I haven't looked in a while. Its stuffed in a closet somewhere.

Ive been kind of stuck on vectis due to a really good riven for it. I want to get my rubico prime rolling but its been hard to swap to a weaker weapon (due to the mod, not the gun).

Rubico is good in the sense that it's hitscan and has higher crit chance and multiplier. Though the downside is the reload speed as well as the lower base damage. Regardless I use Rubico as my go to sniper rifle. Lanka's charge up and projectile bullet is a big no for me, at least for general use. Vectis while also good, has a bit of recoil as well as the 2 clip size. Not sure about the Vulkar but I don't use it cuz I dont like how it looks, and because I already forma'd the above 3 mentioned snipers lol.

Well, yeah, sure the prime versions will be better. Rubico itself is this kind of revolver sniper, while Vectis is a single-shot (double on prime) one, so you're kinda looking at what fits you best. Vectis trades some crit chance for raw damage, which can be good for some people, but bad for others, so it's mostly up to you. People like the Rubico for a good reason, although I think the Vectis comes pretty close, if not pushing Rubico away. Depleted Reload turns Vectis into this sustained fire machine of doom, unlike Rubico's actual need to reload, since you'll be firing a shot almost every half a second.

Vulkar has always felt lacking to me. The base version felt very inaccurate. Although the Wrath is better in terms of damage and accuracy, I still didn't care much to use it. May be good with a godly riven and the right modding, otherwise it just fell into my 'meh' category of weapons.

Vectis (prime) felt significantly better. It has a smaller magazine, but allows you to remain aiming while you reload making it ideal for standard sniper applications where you are wanting to pick off one target after another from a distance. Remaining in zoom (aimglide) also makes it extremely useful for certain riven unlocks that require headshots or kills within a single aim glide. Benefits the most from Charged Chamber, making it a good rifle for high critical and dealing single element damage.

Rubico (prime) Is the middle ground between the two... High damage, high critical, with a reasonably large magazine. The biggest benefit to the Rubico is that the zoom bonus applies to critical chance instead of bonus headshot damage, making it more ideal for situations where you are needing to deal heavy damage but may not be hitting the head.

Lanka is your Eidelon killer due to having only electrical damage (so modding can be focused on entirely radiation and critical). The downside is that it needs to be charged and timed, and that it is not hitscan so hitting distant targets requires more skill. It isn't bad for other purposes, but being that it has no physical damage component, it can come up lacking against armored enemies.

rubico p. the only useful sniper let me tell you why rubico is the only worthy one cuz
its the fastest one to blow up a limb rather you prefire or aim and shoot. (1 shot)

Zoom isnt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with you
extremly high crit chance
zoom bonus useful and straight unlike others
no crazy recoil
also looking way better than most snipers.

disadvantages
rivens expensive. still better than most snipers without even riven.
some people say reload speed is a problem but you equip arcane momentum for a reason
also toxin chroma exist

So if i need to wrap it up there are 2 good snipers litterally Rubico P and Lanka
with lanka you need a secondary to blow up lake limbs but still lanka is viable but making things harder and slower.

Rubico is top dog now but vectic is great as well. Get both primes
