How do you equip your melee weapon?

Just swing it , you'll be in melee mode until you press fire/aim.You can toggle channeling with alternate fire (default is middle mouse button).

Closest we have to equipping it is pressing your quick melee which should be E, but you cant manually block and have to wait for the game to decide to block, well if you dont have any guns equipped it does handle like pre-melee 3.0

You shouldn't really care for either unless you have life strike (channeling) , honestly.

Or doing a stealth melee rank up using channelling to remove corpses with a redeemer.

Redeemer triggers nearby enemies, unless they fixed the alarming effect of the shot.

Fixed? Shooting was finally made alarming for gunblades on purpose.

It just doesn't make sense how a loud-ass shotgun is ,,quiet''.And i fail to see how redeemer is unpopular.

Nerfing stuff for the sake of realism is pretty blegh, i mean you can silence a rocket launcher, a shotgun-machete shouldn't be stopped by "realism", and before redeemer prime was released i barely found or heard people talk about gunblades, in fact i saw more people talking bad about them.
