Well.. it ain't exactly a fight that requires every single meta frame to complete it , so bring anything that can take a beating , and something to clear mobs that also deals a fair amount of damage to the boss (which ain't a bullet sponge, fortunately).
Oh ♥♥♥♥ , i forgot to mention one thing. You also need Diluted Thermia , which is an event reward (you literally get it for doing the mission), which.. i'm not sure how often it will appear , but so far it looks like it will pretty often.
Although if somebody else in your team has it , he can activate it without requiring you to acquire it.
Pretty much any frame can do it, though I'd advise something with a bit of survivability (Don't need to bring Inaros or anything, but something like Mag or Banshee will probably get downed pretty quickly).
Similarly any weapon can do it but you'll be using you secondary mostly, hitscan would be advisable.
Oh and, as Yeti mentioned, someone in the squad needs to have Diluted Thermia (from the Thermia Fractures event) to initiate the fight.
And no , not really.Just pop into recruitment chat and ask if anyone with the item can help ya out.
I kinda struggle with Arbitrations, and ESO (I can do them, just not what I'd consider comfortably) And I had the Exploiter on farm enough to acquire all the Vox Solaris standing required to buy and max out everything they have on offer.
As for hitscan weapons, I don't think I have anything like that on hand.
If you can do a sortie then you can easily kill the Exploiter. You don't need a ton of DPS and even something like a non-prime generic build Rhino would have more than enough survivability.
As for hitscan, the vast majority of weapons in Warframe are hitscan like most snipers, AR's and shotguns. Basically, if the projectiles don't have travel time, then it's hitscan. For an early game comparison, the Braton would be an example of a hitscan weapon while the Paris and Kunai are not because they have rendered projectiles which have travel time in addition to "bullet" drop.
In any case, the only reason he suggests a hitscan weapon is because the Exploiter's weak points are small and move around a lot so it can be tricky to land shots consistently with a bow for example. If you're good at the game though you can still do it.
My secondary of choice is actually a Catchmoon Kitgun, but that does create problems when it comes to sniping the encroaching coolant raknoids (which was the main reason for the suggestion, not mandatory, but you're dealing with some very long distances).
As for the guns listed, I don't have any of them, either. I think the secondary I've been using is a Hyrri or something like that. been a while since I last played, but yeah. It shoots quills, has all the elemental stuff on it.
As for weapons, anything long ranged will do, most of the fight takes place in the wide open and you'll need to hit coolant raknoids at long range. Rubico Prime is my go-to, but any sniper weapon will easily suffice.
Prime weapons are more-than-likely out of my reach, as I can't afford to buy any BPs from people nor do I have luck at the whole opening relics and whatnot. That and I've never seen a Rubico, let alone a Prime variant.
Nezha is one of the best Tanks in the game, after his rework.
Scratch that, he's one of the best frames in the game outright.
As for profit taker, it's between the preference/playstyle of chroma and mirage with many different high tier weapons with different elemental damages. If you do it correctly you can almost all of the elemental damage types covered.
