OP, with the Ekwana Jai II you keep a decent 18% crit chance, which isn't bad with a Blood Rush for building up a rather good total crit chance as you combo about. With it, you have a 25% status chance, I imagine if you also have a Weeping Wounds, it'd be nice to build up up to 100% status with only two elemental+status mods.
With Ekwana II Jai, I'd say it's better to pass over on Weeping Wounds and just go for throwing all your elemental+status mods, though now you'd have a 14% crit chance that would hardly be worth concentrating on.
All together, if you don't have the very rare Condition Overload mod, the value in a status Zaw is lowered considerably in the long run, but it's not all bad. Corrosive of course makes it much better against late Grineer, as does the innate Viral of Plague Kripath, and with Zaws you still have Exodia options to augment the choices you mad on the build. There's Exodia Force and Triumph to concentrate on Status, or if you're using a frame who can open enemies up for finishers, Exodia Might is always a fantastic choice to replace Life Strike and save a mod slot.
On the topic of crit Zaws, they're incredibly good when paired with Maiming Strike and Primed Reach as "spin-to-win" weapons, though that's not to say that a simple Blood Rush + Drifting Contact/Gladiator Rush and crit damage set up isn't capable of being incredibly powerful as well.
