A lot more simpler.
how's that complicated instead of pushing a lot of buttons as it is now?
Because the timing on those "pause" combos was finicky at best, and often flatly impossible to pull off on many melees after adding an attack speed mod.
for a game as fast paced as warframe having to time combos does not work for the majority of gameplay. especially when you put 100+ extra attack speed on weapons where if you mash the melee attack button you turn into a blender
nor was their any benefit to that system. it just locked combos if you decide to add attack speed mods or prevent the usage of attack speed mods if you wanted to do the combos
